Fire/Fire/Pyre Farming Build?

Hey there!  I've been running a Fire/Fire farmer for a while now, and whilst it's not broken, I'm still running standard IO's in my build. I've been having a poke around in Pine's and I've come up with this build.  I tend to cycle through Burn, Fire Sword Circle with the odd attack in there once in a while. Could/Should I look at changing anything here?

Build seems functional i.e. fire resistance > 90% and fire defence more than enough at 52% even at 45% you hardly get hit on a +4x8. Burn could be better damage with the first five of the Armageddon set but keep the Fury of the Gladiator -20% resistance in the 6th slot.  Fiery Embrace could just be two-slotted with recharge. Knockback protection isn't needed on fire farm maps. Endurance consumption looks on the heavy side, if all the toggles are running. There's no smash/lethal on the fire maps (2915 anyway) so Tough doesn't run, saving some endurance. You've got ranged pulls to keep on pulling the aggro in from walk by groups. It is possible to make a build without either Fighting or Leadership to get all the fire defence (I didn't see Steadfast Protection +3% defence). The Winter event sets provide a lot of fire defence you've already got a few of those sets including the big one in Fire Ball (+7.5% fire defence in total).

 

Overall pretty good just questioning endurance consumption with all the toggles.

 

And an obligatory "eye brow raised" at Consume filled with Mocking Beratement (for the 5th and 6th bonus of course), I've seen builds with two complete sets of those IOs so it could be worse! Without those it's still possible to reach 44-45% fire defence which is good enough and have between +140-150% haste in total (your build is +110% with some downtime on Hasten).

Thanks for the feedback! It's been years since I really sat down and tried to work out a decent build, so it's nice to hear I'm not sucking entirely with it! 😉
Concerning Consume... would Overwhelming Force be a better choice, or would you have something else in mind?

 

I could drop the slot in Fiery Embrace and move it to Hasten, and get rid of the KB Prot in Conbat Jumping and move the slot to Fire Shield with the Steadfast Protection +3% Def?

Moving the recharges around between Fiery Embrace and Hasten sounds like a good choice to me. Some farmers swear by the incarnate Alpha ability that boosts recharge so may be that's something else to think about? I have a Spines/FA AE farmer that used to have Consume and Healing Flames but no longer has either power. Like that Alpha recharge ability, some swear by the +100% recharge proc. I'd say: it's your build, decide how you'd like to make it - you've made a good start, try the options see how they make you feel and then experiment with other options until you end up with something you like.

Here's what I made up for you, budget doesn't seem to be a problem so I didn't hold back, I changed Pyre Mastery cause i don't see the point of it, Melt Armor cooldown is terrible and mobs die too quickly to make it useful, also Fire Ball's damage although higher than Ball Lightning or Electrifying Fences I would rather have 2 different powers with lower cooldowns, the reason is simple, it is better to spread the damage rather than having a "semi-nuke", especially for farming where the Mobs are always changing(Not entirely sure how to put this in words as my english isn't the best, hope you understand 😛).

As for Incarnates, on Alpha it will be either Musculature or Spiritual, it depends on how easy or the frequency that you reach the damage cap, on Destiny it's always Ageless for farming(on fiery aura toons obviously), it will fix any endurance problems you may ever have and easily give you perma hasten with this build.


As for the corcerns on Mocking Beratement I don't see any problems on it honestly (who doesn't like an easy and cheap way to raise your recharge by a reasonable amount and your fire defense?), you hardly ever use Consume after you get your Ageless, and when you do there are usually a lot of mobs around you, so it will fill your endurance regardless if you are using Efficacy Adapter(or whatever else could go there) or Mocking Beratement.
