build help on a spines/fire/mu fire farmer

I would like to get some help on a building a spines/fire/mu fire farmer. I have the build done in pines/mids and looks okay on paper. I would like get some feed back on how to slot this character for fire farming 1/8 and 2/8 and still keep the build under 500 million. In my build I know that powers are somewhat out of order and maybe slotted wrong. I did take both super spd and super jump. I like to have the speed and jumping powers just in case I need it for something. This character will mainly be used for fire farming and maybe from time to time to help out on some missions that is just once in a blue moon thing.  The character is now lvl 50 ready to be respec just waiting on the final build before I start anything on that character.

Winter sets are cheep right now at least relative to what they used to be.  They run 10 mil or less each and may go back up once the winter event is over soon so I would grab those now if you can.  With those you can have a somewhat sturdy build outside of AE and strong enough to do +4x8 on fire farms (which honestly you can do with SOs and inspirations).  Something like this keeps all the same powers and changes the slotting.  I did swap out invis for stealth as you lose the defense bonus on invis once you start fighting but keep some with stealth.  Since you have super speed, stealth plus SS will get the same results as invis.

maybe reassess what bonuses you're getting towards the end-goals. ie; seeing a few instances of 4th 5th & 6th slot adding things the char will not benefit from for fire farming. the Fire Res cap is blown-past in both builds, while you could improve Fire Def to cap (in the OP build) and add procs via those freed slots. also saw a missed set bonus of 8.75% +Rech in favor of a LotG, which would be a slight net loss.

personal op here, but... i think for that much inf you may as well go for the gusto & spend the lil bit more for other posted builds. even a patient 60m bidding (week-to-10-days on market) will build a 4x8 Spine/Fire farm Brute that can AFK before Incarnates. 50%+Rech for active killing speed is about the only functional difference between mine and the most expensive builds posted here. unless i was PL'g nearly every day, if i were to spend over double for a middle-ground build, it'd just be to AFK with Burn set auto instead of H.Flames (spend inf on HP & Regen).

I nearly have 600 million now at this time and Helen's build is nice. Krazie I was wondering if you could post your build sounds like you have a kick butt build and kick butt builds are the way to go for farming.

my build is horrid compared to what's possible. the only things good about it are, it works & it's stupid cheap. it's for going AFK 10min at a time & resetting the mish. it'll farm actively with insp, or after Incarnates, but that's due to crap End ratio.

i have some reservations about posting it (honestly, i stopped posting my builds for a lot of other reasons). if i do this, it may open the flood gates further & get /fire brutes nerfed sooner (which i expect eventually). entry-level for AFK farming would be insanely low compared to what else is posted in the farming thread. IO's for the build will go up in cost i think too, which would negate some of "a patient 60m bidding (week-to-10-days on market)".

maybe i'm over-thinking it?

Yea, endurance is a huge issue on the high end farming builds and many of them (mine included) cannot go full speed until at least tier 3 Ageless.  I have much better builds but they have 4 purple sets for the extra recharge to those tend to be a bit more pricey.  They also do not include spine burst but as long as you can line up Throw Spines, it ends up being faster without it.

Let me ask this then on fire def will 40%-45% be okay for fire farming 2/8. My next question is 65%-75% res to s/l/f be okay for fire farming 2/8. My next question which powers should i really take from spines for fire farming and what is a good a attack chain for spines/fire/mu. I run into a group of two or three mobs on 2/8 what would be the best way to start my attack on a those mobs.

I took my first build and made some changes looks alittle better, but will it hold up to the 2/8 mobs with the new changes. I can still wait and make some more money before I do anything with the spines/fire/mu character. I will try and some get some of the winter sets this weekend so I can at least get those io's out of the way.

i only ever use B.Aura+Quills, ThrowSpines+Fences+Ball+Burn ...& Burst (if Haste is down & Ageless is on last leg). your optimal chain will depend on slotted & global Rech, so i can't say for sure. on the rare occasion i farm actively, i put my slowest animating power at the end if i've hit BU, or start with Burn if i've hit F.Embrace so i can get 2-3 patches out of the dmg boost.

it'll handle 4x8 no issue - GJ improving it yourself. with Tough/Weave turned off, your End Ratio is quite good for a farmer. still a bunch o spare slots you could move around due to being over Fire Res cap, & won't need any KB protection if only farming... dmg procs go a long way.

Winter's Gifts, Aegis 4th slots, KB protections (if you're just farming - i'm not a fan of trying to run content on a farmer, or vice-versa. better to have different chars built for different content, imo), 6th Oblit slots, & Impervious Status.

i could see them more useful as 2nd Rech slots in Haste, BU, & F.Embrace... some more +Rech set bonus from Consume... maybe a couple of Dmg Procs.

might consider shuffling sets around to make both auras & Burn have double procs too.

Would this be better for a build some what cheaper to, but I could not put extra slots into consume or burn

lookin better - far more lethal than your 1st posted build. GJ

could use the Karma KB slot as your 2nd dmg proc in Burn (8pts is plenty for most content, even 4pts is good unless you're main tank against specific mobs). unless you really want to run normal content with these, opportunity to swap both SJ & Taunt out for Grant.Invis & Invis for additional LotG +Rech. i'd consider swapping the Dmg/Rech out of ThrowSpines for an Annihilation -Res proc ...or if you find it struggles on End, go back to the Winter set again so you don't need Weave toggled on (but with Ageless T3, this won't matter - running Weave won't be a big hit to your End ratio). active farming out the gate on a fresh build will feel slow, but after T3 Ageless & +1lvl, it'll fly in comparison.
