Port Oakes, Powder Monkey Badge:

'The last of the pirates died at this location defending the fort against Blackbeard.'

Something's wrong here.  Blackbeard was a pirate.  I know pirates sometimes fought amongst themselves, but according to the Swashbuckler plaque nearby: 'Blackbeard himself captured this fort in 1718. He tortured and killed the ill-prepared French soldiers manning it, leaving behind legends of ghostly hauntings that still persist to this day.'

So I think this is meant to be 'The last of the French soldiers died at this location defending the fort against Blackbeard.'

Of course, this opens a related can of worms: the ghosts are clearly pirates and not French soldiers, so there's a more complex problem going on here.

From "Defeat Archon Morena and his guards" (as given by John Strobel):

Quote

[NPC] Archon Archon Morena: I want all systems checked again. I think our network has been compromised.
[NPC] Archon Archon Morena: They must not be allowed to escape.

Quote

You recovered the data and defeated Archon Archon Morena.

Apparently Morena has gone above and beyond the call of duty to fascism to earn not one, but TWO Archon titles.

Meanwhile, Max doesn't even have one.

Just after, John gave me the mission "Defeat Archon Ippolita & his guards" and started making demands on how I finish the mission. What really worries me is that HE'S double promoting Archons as well. Really, John?!

Quote

The man who organized the Council strike is Archon Archon Ippolita. I want him in custody before the day is out.

Quote

[NPC] Archon Archon Ippolita: One demonstration is all that will be required. They will acquiesce once this sorry building is no more.
[NPC] Archon Archon Ippolita: You fools cannot stop the Council's brilliant scheme.

You have defeated Archon Archon Ippolita
You gain 1,440 influence.

Either John has an inside track to the Council's promotion regime, or he's the ONE HANDING OUT PROMOTIONS. ISN'T THAT RIGHT, ARCHON ARCHON STROBEL!?

Diviner Maros, Force information on Calystix from the Legacy Chain, clue from researcher:

Funny how it takes multiple playthroughs to notice some of these.

A vigilante to villain tip mission exit popup seems to have the wrong text. I'm not quite sure what it should say, but probably the real mission title, whatever that was. Here's a screenshot, and in case that gets lost somehow, it's for "Vigilante To Villain SL6-7 Five" which also appears in the title of the popup.

Check out my stories in the Mission Architect. Just search for "@Take One" or "SFMA". Here are some enticing titles:

  • Praetoria-related: Earth Revolution Red, Earth Revolution Blue
  • Mercenary Action: West Libertalia: Born And Raised, West Libertalia: Global Empire, West Libertalia: Love And Rockets
  • Soldier of Arachnos Arcs: The Tangled Weave, A Taste For Evil, Faultline By Night, The Warburg Connection,
  • Various: Project Dragon, Evolve Or Die, The Murders in the RWZ Morgue, The Last Crystal Out Of Cimerora

Mission:Tip - Mask Covered In Saliva, mish briefing:

'Going in there and saving the patrons and manager of the casino would earn you their gratitude - but more so, you would have free reign over taking the money from the casino for yourself.

Then again...those Carnies are still probably fighting the Arachnoids in that lair. But if someone were to go in there and finish them off...well, that would be less Carnies around to keep their leader, Vanessa DeVore, powered.'

Not a typo; the briefing NPC simply doesn't know or care about the distinction, as many people do not.

Newspaper mission, The Bank Gun, glowie clue:

'An interesting idea, but it looks like the gun isn't currently functioning. Ah well, it'll still be worth something to the right problems.'

Not sure what they are trying to say here, but as it stands it doesn't make sense.

Maybe they meant 'it'll still be worth something to the right buyers'?

If we want to retain the word 'problems', it could be 'it'll still be worth something in solving certain problems' or 'it'll still be useful when applied to the right problems.'

Either way, it's not useful to a problem.

And, in a grammar fault, 'has' should be 'have' -- "... our researches ... have revealed..."

And now that srmalloy has put the spotlight on that type of error, it helped me catch this one...

Technician Naylor, Steal Coordinates, Nemesis Explorer Report clue:

'These reports from the Nemesis Army Exploration corps cites dozens of different parallel dimensions'

should be

'These reports from the Nemesis Army Exploration corps cite dozens of different parallel dimensions'

...since 'reports' is plural.

Technician Naylor, Secure Longbow base in an alternate dimension, briefing:

should be

'We've got the portal all set up. Once you're through, you'll probably be comin' right into a whole pack a' good guys, so be ready.'

I don't think this one can be explained away by Naylor's atrocious Dick van Dyke faux-Cockney. 😉

'I help orchestrate a mass slaughter with Clockwork and they label you a war criminal.'

should be either

'You help orchestrate a mass slaughter with Clockwork and they label you a war criminal.' [intentionally talking about herself in third person consistently]

or

'I help orchestrate a mass slaughter with Clockwork and they label me a war criminal.'

From 'The Freakshow War' arc given by Neal Kendrick

Quote

The Freakshow War

It's a shame you weren't able to save that Schwartzwald fellow; it sounds like he was the Freakshow's primary target. At least you were able to recover his files. Most of these notes do seem to be about the Freakshow, though I'm afraid they'd only make sense to Schwartzwald himself. Maybe he got to close to something. There are several references to meetings with a man named Joe Baker; maybe he can tell us more about the Freakshow's attack.

to/too confusion:

'to close to something' should be 'too close to something'.

Redside, Mr. G stuff. The second "Yin's", last word of the second paragraph, should just be the plural "Yins" I saw the same mistake earlier in this arc, perhaps earlier in the first part of this same mission, but I didn't get a screenshot.

I may have found the other one that you mention...

Mr G, Finale: The Final Headline, mish briefing:

'Without the Family, the Yin's have nothing left to throw at you.'

should be

'Without the Family, the Yins have nothing left to throw at you.'

And one more....

Mr G., Part One: Hostages, Splice dialogue:

'Also, there should be two crates with some of the tech that the Yin's are using inside.'

should be

'Also, there should be two crates with some of the tech that the Yins are using inside.'

and on the same mission, the text when you search a crate:

'You found some of the Yin's technology!'

should be

'You found some of the Yins' technology!'

Possessive in this case is correct, but it should be the plural possessive.

Mr G., Part Two: Old Projects, mish briefing:

'After that, the Awakened will turn and destroy the Yin's and their reputation here.'

should be

'After that, the Awakened will turn and destroy the Yins and their reputation here.'

On the level up power selection screen (and the power info by right clicking), Speed Boost for Kinetics states that you can boost a single targeted ally.  Speed Boost was changed long ago to affect multiple nearby allies at once.  Similarly, Increase Density reads as if it only targets one ally but isn't as straight forward about it.  Increase Density also mentions slowing the ally down, which that component of the power no longer exists,

On entering the mission, the popup text is ... not engrish...

"Maros is a strange one, but this his information about the location of this 'Scroll of Tielekku' was accurate."

Text is what means is?!

..It only takes one Beanbag fan saying that they JRANGER it for the devs to revert it.
