I've never seen this before...

What is this "Flames of Prometheus Conversion?"  Where did it come from?  Does anyone else have this?  It doesn't show up in the Accolades listed on the Badges tab of my character's Info window.  Where else would I find it in my character info?

You get it the first time that you run the Mortimer Kal SF.  Once you ding level 50, you can hit "Convert" and it will give you a Notice of the Well.

If you click Convert do you lose the Buff?

U already lost the buff cause u lvld up to 50, so there is no loss only gain from converting as Appariton described.

That's been around long before NCSoft pulled the plug. You obtain it when you complete Mortimer Kals strikeforce in sharkhead, the buff is gone as of level 50, so click convert and the badg changes and you get a notice of the well

mine is still active in my Buff bar

will still show up there but if you look at your stats you'll see it's not active anymore.

If get the Notice of teh Well, does the badge disappear?  Can I get it back?

It's not an actual badge.  It doesn't show up in your badge listing if anyone else looks at it and it doesn't count toward your total badge count.
