Bitter Freeze Ray graphic glitch

Somehow the effect of Bitter Freeze Ray from Ice Blast got changed from the expected chunk of ice to one of the electric ball holds.  This happened after I had been playing a new electric/electric corruptor in case that has anything to do with it.  The ordinary Freeze Ray still displays the ice as expected.

This is continuing to happen, this time with a Plants/Poison controller.   Attacking Rikti on a Numina, she's got one of them held.  But rather than her vines from the ground, she sometimes gets an Electric style ball cage. 

 

I don;t often play this kind of character beut it seems to have arrived with the new electric buff set.

Do you have Chance for Hold procs in your powers?  Those seem to only show up as the electric ball.

No, but all of the holds have a Lockdown Chance for +2 Mag slotted in them.

Bingo. Pretty sure it's your proc activating.

Cosmic Soldier is correct; the +2 Mag effect has its own visuals. The electric sphere tells you that the proc triggered. Unfortunately, there's no way to customize it, but it's still an easy to see indicator.

Yeah, my fire blaster had an IO set with a hold proc on her Blaze power, and it displayed the electric Tesla Cage effect.
