I just tested in-game with no issue.  Which Emotes were you trying, in what location, during what activities?

What does the $$local do?  Aren't all emotes local to begin with?

Hard to tell when you don't give us the actual coding of what you were doing ... since all it would take is a typo on your part to make it not work.

Starts a chat message in the Local channel. Whatever the rest of the macro is will be the text said in Local.

Nevermind, it seemed to be an isolated incident that night.

 

The full syntax of what I was doing is /emote <emote>$$local <dialogue>

 

Still, no idea what happened.
