Does anyone know why do the 3 AVs start running around constantly when doing the casino heist part? I mean its great to take less damage but as a meleer it is very frustrating as they jump onto the shelves and run all over the map. I do not remember this happening a few weeks ago and I run this thing a lot. Is this a bug or is this how it was always intended and I missed a patch note?

The Gladiator part seems normal.

Out of curiosity, what was the team makeup? I ran it on a badge run a couple of days ago with 4 Brutes, and there was no running at all, so I'm wondering if you had a team that had no taunt effects to keep them from running.

The only time I see them jumping up on stuff is when someone grabs their agro while flying.  Though maybe they'll run if caught in an AOE DOT?

I think this may be it. I run this with many team makeups and lots of times there is no tank or brute. I will pay attention the next few I run and see if having one helps the running.

This may be it. I use my blasters a lot for SBBs and I do use hover. I will test this as well. TY for the replies. I just don't remember it happening as much as it is now but I am doing this event a lot lately.

I have noticed rad and other debuff toggles often make them run.

 

I see it in other TFs too- Director 11, Romulus, occasionally Viridian - all prone to running if debuffed.

Had this happen the last time I ran SBB. Ended up with Sylvia Rexson climbing all the way up into the rafters and the rest of us having to get up there with her.

It's not just AVs. All sorts of mobs have a tendency to head for the hills. I've found Crey power tanks particularly annoying lately. It's not just that they're fast; it's that they go a very, very long way before coming back.

My limited understanding is that all enemies have an invisible panic check that tracks stuff like if they're severely debuffed (or perhaps more directly, if they're missing too many attacks/all of their attacks are on cooldown) and if they've taken lots of damage recently (possibly includes their buddies if it's a normal mob). Since AVs and GMs naturally get dogpiled (and many of them already have a very limited number of attacks) it's super easy for that panic check to go off.
