Tequila not compatible, worked a few months ago.

When I launch tequila and press 'play' it says; This version of 1% is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. etc etc

Ive tried running it in compatibility with other OS's , to no avail. Im running windows 8 64bit

You shouldn't need to use Compatibility Mode to run the game.

 

Windows 8... is it RT by any chance?  RT is made for ARM processors which cannot run the client at all.

 

Are you sure it's 64-bit Windows 8?  Try the 32-bit client and see if that launches.  The other possibility is it's been long enough and someone cleaned up the hard drive to save space, removing the Visual C++ Runtime needed to start the game.  It's not hard to put back but it needs to match the architecture of your computer (64-bit Runtime for Homecoming 64-bit, 32-bit Runtime for Homecoming 32-bit.)

If there's doubt on which version you have, Hold the Windows key and Press the Break key to bring up the System Info screen. It'll be very explicit as to what you have.
