Hey hey-

Wondering if Spines/ Fire is only best for farming ae missions or are there builds that suit pve as well?

Not finding any builds or guides that focus on pve. I've looked at M3z's vid and I like the idea of the build, but I don't want to just farm.

I used to think so but with Spines lack of ST dmg, said farms better not include Bosses and of course Elite Bosses. For a pimped out expensive build, I'd recommend you try SS/Fire or for what I am hearing as of lately, Rad/Fire. However, if you are determined on Spines, can try something like this:

I have used Laser Beam Eyes instead of Impale becuas eit looks cooler and animation is shorter but you can use Impale instead if you prefer (which is probably higher dmg). Almost perma-hasten (0.7 secs downtime), decent resistances and manageable end consumption. If instead of Spiritual you go for Cardiac on your Alpha Slot, your end consumption will be virtually nothing and you will round up your resistances at the expense of perma-hasten where you will get a 12 seconds downtime, not too bad but I understand may be not acceptablo. Anyway, just a suggestion build aimed to give you ideas.

Spines/Fire should be a fine general purpose PvE build. ST damage may be lacking, but you can grab Gloom from Soul Mastery to help with that.  Although, since it's been so long since I've played, I'm not sure how much of an issue redraw will be.

Redraw doesnt affect DPS, IIRC - the animation just gets sped up.

 

Ive got a lvl 50 Spines/Bio Brute, and though the lack of single target is notes, its not a huge deal unless you really like solo AV hunting (Ive not had much luck beating AV Health Regen yet, but its a work in progress).  For group to group on 8 man with bosses, I usually just drag surviving bosses along with me to the next group for AOE to work on - though no doubt a Burn-Patch build would wipe the groups more quickly, and lacking the Bioarmor health recovery and defense would have less breathing room to just ignore an additional boss or three swinging away.

Thanks for all the input!  So far End has been the only issue and not even often- Having fun either way- Working on a SS/ Bio as well-

Ive tried to open this in Mids, and it keeps giving me an error. Ive tried to recreate it, and there is no option for spines for a brute... what am i missing here

Think this is where the most resent version is for I25.  I have issues as well if a data chunk is not included so I end up having to manually do everything from the long post.

Have been having fun with the build Nightmarer! How would you respec/ or pimp out this build? Like using steadfast prot, gladiator armor etc? I am not very familiar with sets at all.

Hated splitting the ATO set and missing the rchg bonus but needed that 5% extra S/L def to softcap:
