Monos King Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Almost always when obtained through Ouroboros, and occasionally when obtained ordinarily from Montague the normal way, The Lost Cure temporary power disappears after a single use. Usage on a non-Lost accidentally seems to increase the chances that the Temporary Power removes itself, however this is a major issue for those attempting to do the arc as without the temporary power it is impossible to complete the cure lost mission and thus the arc. The ability is not (and should not be) an echo, and initially comes with its proper amount of 50 uses when gained through the Flashback System. However, upon usage, the power simply disappears as though it had only one use remaining. Further more, the power will also sometimes disappear when you are invited to a team -- much to my dismay. There may exist even more stipulations and triggers to the powers sudden disappearance, and it's extremely troubling. Weapon Collectors such as myself are negatively affected by this, along with the primary causality of players that actually require the missions completion. The first time obtaining the Lost Cure is more often than not a proper 50 uses, but once regained through ouroboros the buggy behavior ensues. SurfD Posted May 30, 2020 Posted May 30, 2020 Odd. I have done the Montague mission (not through Ouro) several times, and I am pretty sure every time I got the Cure Wand, it only had 10 charges (exactly enough to cure the target number required for the mission). It it supposed to have 50?
lemming Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 I've run the mission a few times this last week on different characters, but not through Oro. Steps were: 1) Get Lost Cure (i didn't note how many charges, but more than 20, maybe 50) 2) Cure 20 Lost. Get Badge, etc... 3) Zap one more Lost, lose wand. I'll go check it out again tonight via Oro to see what happens
lemming Posted May 31, 2020 Posted May 31, 2020 Ok. Ran via Oro 1) Got the Lost Cure with 50 charges. I did not have it from the original run. 2) Cured 20 Lost which completed mission 3) Call Montague to turn in mission and noted that Cure was gone. So, while I was able to complete the arc, I did not get to keep weapon. I suggest if you want to collect it, to run the arc until you get the cure, and then quit the Oro arc. This will probably get you to keep it, not sure if it will disappear if you try to use it though.

Upon quitting and attempting to use (or simply keep) the wand, the above occurs. I'll run another test and describe what happens. Doing so prevented the disappearance. I have a lot of temporary powers, so it is difficult to scroll through, but the power was previously in my tray. Once I switched builds, the power disappeared. This is clearly not how any temp should be behaving, and would spell an issue if the mission were for some reason abandoned. Also, the temp will be prone to randomly disappearing even if you have met the criteria above. City Council Faultline Posted November 11, 2020 City Council Posted November 11, 2020 There's no Echo version of The Lost Cure, it's always the same power. Looking at the power def, it is set to revoke itself if the character using it has a token MissionLostCuredToken with a value of 20 or higher. This token is reset to 0 at the beginning of mission 7 (Cure Lost) and it's a permanent character token, meaning it never goes away even after you complete the arc. Based on that, what I think is happening is that you're getting The Lost Cure from mission 6, and then using the power before you start mission 7 to reset the token. Since you already completed the mission before, that token is still set to 20, and the power goes away. I'll look into resetting the token on mission 6, before you get the wand, and that should fix the problem. 4
