Can someone point me to a budget Fire/Fire Build?

So, I was teaming up with some fine folks earlier today. Running Radios in PI, and my Elec/Shield Stalker hit 32. Got my Lightning Rod on - all kinds of woot. And the team had a fire/fire blaster. I'm sure that blaster was IO'd out to the gills, and ya know, had 18 levels on me. But still, the amount of pain they were putting out was silly.

 

I kinda want in. I want to throw down them shiny orange numbers. Or at least give it a try.

 

But, poking around the forums for a quick minute, it looks like the only thing cooler (hotter?) than a Fire/Fire blaster, is slotting it with ATOs and Superior sets.

 

I'm marketeering decently well, and my monocle might be in the mail, but I'm not at a level where I can throw down 120 to 250 million influence on a build, just for giggles. Also, I want to try out Fire/Fire and see if it's for me before I really commit the heavy scratch.

 

So, does anyone have a line on budget options? Like I said, I marketeer a little, so I don't mind a build that's a bit more of a payment-plan, as opposed to truly cheap.

 

I'm pretty agnostic on ranged vs. melee vs. mixing both. I'm most hungry for the cheapest effective fiery murder money can buy, with an eye towards some realistic defense to keep the fires burning.

 

Any thoughts?

Cheapish for hover blasting super lazy style, skipped all the melee damage so no doubt there will be comments.....:

Meknomancer and Kiramon, those builds look pretty sexy and cost effective. I notice that Meknomancer has some ATOs slotted. How big a deal are those for a blaster? Is it like stalkers, where they’re gameplay critical? Or maybe a little more like, “nice, but you can really skip ‘em?”

Theyre nice; theyre expensive (7-11 mill if you buy/catalyst them), though, so i excluded them. Definitely won't break the build if you hold off on them. But should have them if you can. 

 

If you buy em with merits or whatever, sure thing.

Just as a little aside, if you're interested you can hop in the test server, instant-50 yourself, then slot out to your hearts content with the pop-menu. You can make your budget build, your dream build, and anything in-between. See what works for you, then go back to live and try to build it there. Might help you decide what's worth spending on and what isn't.
