Dark/Shield Endgame Build

I've seen searching for quite some time in these forums, old forums, and reddit posts for some form of a dark/shield build. I am quite new to COH and am learning as best I can but endgame builds with enhancements really confuse me. I also understand that stalkers need to slot accordingly to take advantage of there ATO's. I have enough influence to fund a fully decked build.

 

Is there anyone out there that can help produce a dark/shield endgame build, possibly even with incarnates?

 

Would be forever grateful, please and thank you.

Here's a quick one to get started.  Positional soft-cap in combat; okay S/L resistance, endurance recovery, and recharge.  Has a travel power and pretty generic incarnate powers.  The most important thing to keep is the Stalker's Guile proc in Assassin's Eclipse.

 

Void Judgement gives you a second PBAOE and effective resistance boost while BP Radial Lore lowers their resistance to negative damage.  Another good judgement is pyronic for a quick animation, better range, and different damage type.  Lore is one I used to pick strictly for thematic purpose.

Hey Omega!

 

Thank you so much for taking the time to get me going. I can't exactly figure out how to import that build. I usually just click a link and it imports it into the MID'S program. Is there anyway you can re-post that build with an easy link to import?

I think I would do something like this. This has high recharge and proc'd out attacks in assassin's strike and midnights grasp. The hide proc in assassin's strike has the maximium chance to proc and then you can follow it up with a midnight's grasp crit. The ST attack chain is smite>siphon life>assassin's eclipse>midnight's grasp, allowing your midnight's grasp to almost always crit. Your regen with the heal procs and panacea will be at about 35 hp/sec and you have siphon life to help out. Endurance shouldn't be an issue with all the performance shifters. Hasten should be perma as long as you use shield charge twice in two minutes giving you the +100% FF recharge proc. Overall, this build has a lot less s/l resistance than Omega's build, but it has much more damage and recharge. I think the overall survivability of the build will be a bit better than Omega's build due to the heal procs and the One With Shield 'oh crap' button.

Last I'd read, multiple PT heal procs are bugged in auto powers, and you have Siphon Life to keep you topped up. 

 

I'd only tweak Darkir's build by moving those two slots out of Body Mastery and into Deflection with two pieces of Red Fortune.  (Keep one PT proc in Stamina.)  That would give you 50 S/L resistance (capped with OWtS), and bring your melee and ranged defenses to ~44% out of Hide.  Let us know how it plays!

On the beta server there are changes to Dark Melee. Touch of Fear will be changed into an Area Attack like Street Justice Spinning Strike. It will still fear the targeted enemy but will be a new Source of Area damage. The downside is that the melee cone will be more in line with the other melee cones like Street Justice Sweeping Cross.

 

Maybe having this in Mind will impact the build. I would be angry if i spend millions on the AH to find out that i need to respec two weeks later. 

 

Also on AT like Scrappers you could have Soul Drain, Dark Consumption, Touch of Fear, Shield Charge and Shadow Maul. That is a strong area damage rotation. Even more if you slot Soul Drain and Dark Consumption with proccs. I know that Dark Consumption is not a solution to Endurance Problems, but it helps. Speaking of Endurance there is a very nice proc for Endurance that can be sloted into Siphon life, which procs quite often. If you frequently use it, there will be a noticable change in endurance consumption. And you should use it often, because it is a strong single Target attack.

Just sell stuff back and buy what you need instead. You only lose 10% by selling on the AH. That patch might be a week away or a month. I'd rather play my room now and deal with changes as they come.
