My Search Fu is weak. Teach me master, how to see further on the map

Someone mentioned a code/bind to change how far you can see/the map loads.
Believe standard is set at 1 and the number can be from 1-20.
Can anyone help me find the relevant thread/answer?

might be what you are after? i still cant see more then 10 ft in a busy place like a 
mother ship raid so i am not sure

You might have to increase the in-options slider to 200% before vis_scale 4 (or higher) will take effect?

 

Can you take a screenshot of what you can see?
