Botzoman Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 So. I'm not great with builds and I'm not looking for someone to give me one, just asking for another set of eyes to look at what I have. I tried to get my S/L/M as close to softcap, with Defensive sweep putting S/M over and into Itrial soft cap ballpark. Also tried to get as much recharge as possible very much sacrificing (in my eyes) a lot of slots I would normally want for enhancing regen. That mostly done to keep downtime to a minimum on Build momentum/Hasten/Meltdown as well as Rad's other tools to make up for the deficiency. I guess my main problem is I feel like garbage for overslotting certain things (6 slot Combat jump? Madness!Spending slots on Boxing? Heresy!).I would run shield on Tw if it were an option. I get the feeling like FA could do some of this better as far as cranking out the damage. But I think the recharge and endurance tools rad has could carry TW further. Would Spiritual be a better incarnate? It doesn't seem to change the regen number too drastically but I don't see it showing an effect on Gamma boost due to it's own dynamics. Again, not looking for a build, just advice. I'm not the smartest person in the world so do bear with me. I once argued with "Tank Jesus" on Torchbearer about Storm Kick's defense bonus when a simple look over of the flavor text would have saved me some embarrassment. Edit:Took a slot off hasten, figured Adeon's comment about boosters could help make up for it, changed the damage set in Radiation Therapy to Preventative medicine. Defensive sweep makes up for this imo and not slotting for healing there seemed silly despite the large defense bonuses that Superior Avalanche brought to the table. Eeked out 8.75 more recharge. Adeon Hawkwood Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 One thing to keep in mind is Enhancement Boosters. For example you could save a slot in Hasten by taking one of the recharges out and making the other two 50+5s, it only costs you about 1 second of recharge. 1 Defender Smash!
Botzoman Posted May 30, 2019 Author Posted May 30, 2019 Edit: Forgot about Brawl! moved some things around to get a kinetic combat in it. Did some more work on the build and changed some of the slotting since a good chunk made little sense. Defensive sweep did not warrant the entire scrapper set by any means and I managed to squeeze more recharge into the build overall at a total of 120% before hasten. Focused on getting more into the defensive end of things. I don't plan on running tough, just using Meltdown to hit the resist hard caps for scrappers. Cold and Psi are the only resists not capped. My S/L/M aren't softcapped like I could have had them be, but a small purple or a defensive sweep is hopefully enough on top of the tohit debuff I get out of Beta Decay. Plan on using enhancement boosters where possible. Hero Plan by Mids' Hero Designer 1.962 http://www.cohplanner.com/ Click this DataLink to open the build! Jaegernault Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 With titan weapons recharge global is very low priority. If you slap a forced feedback into whirling smash and titan sweep its up half the time. Ignore what the proc says, i run a TW/fire brute. I bought his last sets yesterday, whole build cost about 2b so cheap for a completion. Capped resistance to smashing/lethal/fire. 2 seperate attack chains for group and single target. -res on a lot of powers means even t9 defence enemy crumble fast. I can run the fire farm on +4×8 bosses casually without insperation eating. If i do use reds he goes insain 1 shotting everything. Im gonna try a TW/rad scrapper next as it might do more damage without inspirations, but the lower res has to mesh with more healing to work. On pines its capped to most damage types with 200%rech but as we know, in game is where ota tested!
Mr. Vee Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 You were wasting an awful lot of slots for very low returns in the first one. Second is much better. Switch the 6 titanium in proton to 4 reactive armor. I'd invest one of those extra slots in the panacea proc. Also I believe I've read, though I don't remember where, that someone did the math and the performance shifter proc is better than one slotted end mod in stamina. Not sure if that's still the case with a +5. Really you should be all set on recharge - you're already perma-hasten with only the base recharge from beta decay. So stick with agility core rather than spiritual, you need the defense and recovery anyway. Consider ageless radial for the bit of debuff resistance it gives.
bartwart Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I'd reslot meltdown to just have two rech-redux 50+5s. The extra resist is over kill. Stock will give you a 25% boost, which will probably put you at the resist cap anyway, so any extra resist will just be a waste. I use meltdown just as a damage booster
Xingularity Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 I've heard it mentioned doing 50+whatevers for recharge redux, and I could swear I saw a post showing how to do that, but now I can't find it anywhere. Is there a good guide for this? Or just a rough idea? I tried to put 2 created 50 recharges together and they wouldn't +1, not sure if there's something else I need to do.

You need to get Enhancement Boosters from the merit vendors to do this. It will run you 25 merits per power you want to get to +5
