Blood & Treasure - James Bond crossed with Indiana Jones

Blood & Treasure was a summer show on CBS.  12 episodes available on Prime Video.

 

The show has a strong James Bond feel with some Indiana Jones.  A straight arrow retired FBI agent teams up with a thief to hunt down the terrorist who killed her father.  They travel around Europe and a bit in the U.S. and North Africa.  A lot of fancy dress in casinos, banks, etc.  But the terrorist has stolen the sarcophagus of Anthony and Cleopatra from Egypt, so they are hunting that down and there is archaeology and tombs and museums as well.

 

The show involves a secret society, the mob, nazi's, lots of intelligence agencies and police.  The heroes team with the police, go rogue, work with criminals, and do whatever it takes to track down the terrorists.  Lots of changing loyalties.

 

It's a fun show.  It is very consistent in quality and tone - how you feel about the first episode will be how you feel about the whole thing.  And it is totally serial but wraps up the story at the end of the season - no cliffhanger.

You say it is on Prime?  Not CBS All Access?

 

EDIT:  so I confirmed Prime does have it.  First 3 eps are free.  Be aware though that Prime reviewers are reporting that purchased eps appear to sometimes not work on the Prime viewer.

I watched it all on prime with no cost, but I am a prime member.

I remember enjoying this, though as is customary the first season ended on a cliffhanger with nothing resolved IIRC.  My memory also tends to blur this together with a show called Hooten and the Lady, which had a very similar premise.  If you enjoyed the one you'll likely enjoy the other.

Blood and Treasure did not end on a cliffhanger - it wrapped up the story.
