Part of the problem is that you're approaching it like you would with a Squishy.

You're slathering "okay" Defense on top of "okay" Resist.
So, when your Defense is cracked, they just keep coming at you through the Resist.
This is when you get forcibly renamed to "Street Pizza".

Had this happen on my first Rad/Rad Tank too.

Solution, PICK A FREAKIN' LANE!

Not meant to antagonize you, just an illustration of what needs to happen.

You need to go BTTW (Balls To The Wall) with either Resist or Defense.

Seeing as Rad gives you NOTHING, it kinda makes your choice obvious.

That and when you get Defense Debuffed into negative triple digits, you can laugh like a loon and continue to beat face!

Granted, you're a Brute, so the point of "Aw crap!" is a LOT tighter than it is on a Tank. But, skillfully managed, and you are a beast.

Yup i tried something like that too, the problem is rad melee is awkward, slow animating and i gave up on the resists and defence builds after 5-6 respecs and just went screw it i just want it to be fun to play. Throw in some patron powers and some procs in rad therapy and ground zero and try to bump up the recharge on the build.....and now its not awful to play. Standing in the mob with nothing to throw out but a couple puny st attacks or a 3 hour wait for devastating blow to hit while waiting for atom smasher to recharge....yawn. I get where your coming from with the max resists builds, stand in the mob all day and laugh and not get hit but its so dull to play. Its the reason my ss/invul tank and invul/ss brute haven't been logged on since they hit 50. You get the numbers where you want them and then....wait for footstomp and thats it. Thats all they have. I had the same problems with rad/rad brute and tank so i threw mids out the window and now they are fun to play. So i die a few times i don't mind and who doesn't want those debt badges?

If i log on the forums and someones asked for help and nobodys answered for a few days i'll throw something on and hope somebody posts something better....look it worked 🙂

Rad/Rad look like fun for aoe damage + aoe aggro but if it not run ....

Can you advice me a better build for Brute please ? aoe damage, aoe treat and better survivabilty ?

Hyperstrikes is built to survive. Its very tanky. I like my brutes to play aggressive dps which is why i put 2 builds in but you don't say what powers you want or what you want to do with it. Aoe damage from rad/rad comes from atom smasher/rad therapy/ground zero but the last 2 need damage procs to do what your asking and whatever patron pool you choose-mu gives the most aoe attacks but to squeeze those in you sacrifice slots from your resistance/defence. If you want better survivability you won't fit in the aoe's unless all you plan to do is sit in ae and farm in which case you can focus on a single type of defence and resist such as fire or smahing and lethal. Tell us what you want. Better yet use mids to show the powers your picking. I always recommend players make their own builds, never play someone elses because every player plays differently and wants different things from their toons. Look at all the rad/rad builds posted on the forums and put your own together and you'll have a lot more fun. I just post stuff hoping it will give players ideas about what to do themselves.
