Help on my first 50 - Dual Pistols / Martial

I'm about to hit 50 for the first time with my DP/MC blaster and I'll be honest I feel a little overwhelmed with power choices and I was hoping you guys could give me some advice. I'm really enjoying the DP animations and I don't really mind being in melee too much but I do tend to eat dirt more than most. I don't really like Piercing Rounds, I think it takes too long to cast for little payoff. And I think Suppressive Fire is meh. But maybe I'm not reading/using these powers correctly so any insight would be great. Any build help/suggestions you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This is my build. Soft-capped to Smash & Lethal & Ranged (almost). This is a teaming build - I don't solo with it. Mostly iContent.

 

Just 2 Martial attacks: Ki-Push for self-defence/cool and Storm Kick for damage. Rest of the time I'm shooting. Tough is an IO mule, I don't run with it on. Never bothered with Suppresive Fire because if I want to mez stuff I'll play my controller. It just feels weak and useless. Inner Will is a great click mez protection freeing up the usual Clarion Destiny for something else if you like.

 

I'm sure there are better builds out there, but this satisfies my shooty urges quite nicely.

This is my DP/Martial.  Soft-cap to S/L/E.

Couple points:

1) Suppressive Fire if procc'd out is a great fast-animating attack. 

2) At 50 my ST-chain is basically Executioner's, Storm Kick, and Suppressive. WIth sprinklings of AOE for +rchrg. I keep Eagle's Claw for style.

3) I would have dumped Eagle's Claw if not for style points - this is not my most min-max blaster.  It would be better to slot up Reaction Time, if you're looking for slot use.

4) FF +rchrg procs in Storm Kick, Dragon's Tail and Bullet Rain are the bomb.

5) I like the -res chance in Burst of Speed for groups. But losing slots here wouldn't be the end of the world.

6) and oh yeah, I keep Inner Will on autofire and manually click hasten.

Here is my build which I just hit 50 on last week )only have alpha slot so far.  I mainly solo and it seems fun and strong in that context. 

 

Overall the bild has similar powers to those in brasilgringo's build above, which means I am probably not as unique as I thought :).  I did slot differently to get a bit more defense and soft cap ranged defense.  The tradeoffs probably being in fewer procs and in particular loss of the +Rech procs.

The blanks in both builds are ff+rech procs. Also the selection order in both isn't what I'd really do in practice.
