ETA: You have just shamed me into finally putting away the box for the new mouse I got for Christmas.

Eh, I'm staring at a 40" HD TV that Everything I own is attached too....from 8' away. Ya'll are making me sad I can't build my room yet though. Also, I Swear to God I thought that was some sort of PC under that desk here (middle)! Guess who doesn't have their glasses on.  >.<

@Glacier Peak beat me to it, but that is an outstanding workhorse of a keyboard.  I still have my 1991 one around here somewhere.  I was always going to get an adapter for it, I just keep forgetting.

Congrats!  And with only 3 more years of hard savings, you should have all the components for a full, customized rig! 😁

I'm surprised you haven't taken out the panels and affixed them together against some custom made, rigid frame or something. :p

My ability to fab stuff is severely limited.

Awesome CPU choice. I've stuck with my 6C/12T i7-8700k because I don't benefit from multi- threaded workloads. Single threaded though and gaming, real awesome.

That and not wanting to bump into stuff or knock it over/off the desk.

I used to have a triple monitor setup back when 20' flat panels were considered

a luxury but I traded them all in for a single wide aspect HD 30" panel.

The PC, Keyboard, Speakers & Trackball are all still the same.

I've always wanted to try that mouse, with the cool thumb track ball. My office coworkers have told me good things about it. What brand is it?

Most Trackballs you're going to see on the US market are Logitechs.

Their current line are referred to as Ergo.
The Ergo M575 is a $50 unit.
The MX Ergo is a $100 unit.

Hyperstrike is correct, most trackballs you can buy are made

by Logitech but that is a Microsoft Trackball Optical 1.0 above.

They are discontinued now but will occasionally turn up on Ebay

or Amazon from time to time (there are a few there from $50 - $200).

Many (with larger hands) consider them the best trackball ever made.

The closest thing I have found for people who still request them is made by

a company called Elecom. It's cheaper and gets closer to an MTO than Logitech.

I had a much longer more detailed reply but this is not a tech forum so I left the main points and cut the rest.

Yeah.  This is why I go multi-monitor.
If I DO game, CoH is nigh-unusable at that aspect ratio.

This is mine:

The Famous XClio A380-Plus

Powered by this solid machine:

Then there is this particular experimental machine loaded with Fedora Server 32, and with which I'm still unable to quite succeed in loading the CoH Client, it's got 32GB of RAM (not much for nowadays, but better than a 16GB machine), its a Proliant DL365G5 with an AMD Opteron 2352

For monitors, I keep it simple, a 1907FP Dell Monitor will do just fine, nothing fancy and it works
