Zone entry permissions

So, my character is level 40. At the Smuggler ship in PI, I can go to Monster Island a 45-50 zone...but can't go the Abyss, also a level 45-50 zone. Doesn't make sense to me.

I believe this has to do with the Hamidon event being situated in the Abyss, and is working as intended. So, Monster Island works the same as any other hazard zone, but the Abyss is not just a regular hazard zone, it contains Hamidon encounters, therefore the devs would want only people who can contribute and are 45+ to join this zone. I believe Eden works the same way or used to.

Yeah, both The Hive and The Abyss are locked to level 45+, as they should be as they are raid zones.  Monster Island is not.

PS:  Eden is officially a Trial Zone (Eden Trial), open to level 33+ per the HCwiki.  And also where the the final 2 missions of Numina's Task Force (35-40) take place.

 

Edit: Woops final 2 door missions take place after completing the final hunt mission in the zone.
