Tequila Launcher won't work after automatic windows update...

When I try to launch, the Tequila screen comes up but says Errors: Manifest download error for http://patch.savecoh.com/manifest.xml - An exception occurred during a WebClient request....

Hitting the 3 small dots does nothing, and when I hit OPTIONS and try to re-validate, it says: Access to the path 'C:\Games\City of Heroes\tequilalog.xml' is denied.

Can anyone tell me how I might fix this? Thanks.

Run Tequila as Administrator. If that doesn't help, you may need to add it to your Windows Defender whitelist.

Thank you for the reply - how would  I run Tequila as an administrator? (sorry, I'm not real computer savvy!)

I guess I was confused - I thought I was already running Tequila as Administrator....are you saying I need to right click the tequila.exe file and click the "Run as Administrator" option?

And would I need to do that every time to enter the game? Thanks.

Yes, use the option to run as administrator. You should do that to check if it fixes the issue, and the next step depends on that.
