Hey, everyone. I'm a longtime player of COH, both on live and on homecoming (Virtue/Everlasting represent!), and I've got something exciting to share with you. I've always loved superheroes and comics, and the roleplaying in COH inspired me to finally start creating stories inspired from the fun I've had with you all.

So here's the beginning of a new comic book series: The Adventures of Omega Girl

You may have seen Omega Girl (played by my collaborator) in-game. Now, you can follow her adventures in Angel City as she fights the forces of JACKAL and anything else that threatens the innocent. This graceful paragon of justice fights the forces of evil with strength and courage, a beacon of hope who offers a better way to the future, even for the villains she faces.

You're welcome, always happy to have new content creators.

The art style looks quite familiar but I'm not sure I know the artist(s).

Also I can't tell at this resolution if that is two signatures in the same lettering

style (like a separate illustrator and colorist) or a single artist using a first and last name.

By the way if you've not already seen them there are a couple other ongoing comics

already here, "Fragmentary Veritas" by @Cobalt Arachne (formerly Nayreia)

which is currently on hold while Cobalt does some Dev work for us

and the other is called "Homecoming" by @ToxinFox.

Edit: Found them, Logan Schell and Brian Brinlee.

Finally, not to spoil anything upcoming...

Spoiler

but I think Disasternaut is a great name for a big bad. zb7XgP0P_o.png

Sure thing guys.

Hey @Twitless here's a

quick suggestion for you. This...

image.png

is a great costume that Omega Girl wears.

You may want to drop it into this thread over here

and mention your comic. That is by far the most popular &

attention getting thread in this section of the forums

and it would surely draw a bunch more eyeballs.

Hey! Thanks for the info! Good to see other comics creators here.

As for the artist, it's Brian Brinlee. He has a webcomic on Webtoons: https://www.webtoons.com/en/challenge/shadow-steel/list?title_no=574247
May be an illustration of 1 person and text

I do the writing and lettering for the comic, and my colorist is a guy named Febri Ferdian. We've got a great team!

Sure sure. There are several other artists around these parts as well (off and on).

Thanks for the link I'll definitely go and check out his other comic.

Indeed you do. Congratz, it's great to have a team. zb7XgP0P_o.png

I was wondering that as well. @Twitless if you're open to more suggestions

I'd say the best way to keep the interest in your comic up would be to follow the

standard pattern here & release a page a week (given the first issue's length that would

take 6 months) and a reminder every couple weeks that the those who want to skip ahead

and read the rest "NAO" can buy it and provide a link. That way you keep this thread

near the top without overdoing it, those that are patient enough (and were not

planning to buy) will eventually get the whole issue but everyone else will

buy it to read ahead or to support the artists behind it once they are

invested in the story. Maybe the those holdouts will be in for

issue 2 since this is an ongoing story. Furthermore  I would

say add a link to this thread in your post signature so as you

wander about the forums and post comments and feedback on

others art/costumes/posts etc. it will lead people back here as well.

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah, the signature thing did not occur to me.

While I can't post the whole comic here, I can post the first story that's included in the issue. It's one of the four that appear in the book! If you want to read more, it's only $1.99 US for a PDF or $3.99 for a physical copy.

Thank you again for showing interest! I can't wait to get issue #2 into your hands, everyone.

As requested, here's page one!

As you can see, I've been influenced by classic comics, as well as some manga and our dear old City of Heroes. I wanted to jump right in with the adventures; so even though there's an origin story, it's brief and still packed with action!

Let me know what you think, and make sure to join the Omegasphere by getting a copy at Indyplanet!

I dig the art and layout. Omega Girl looks great and the CoH "influence" (hah!) is apparent.

Also either Jackal is a front for a holographic billboard and digital signage company or they're

going to be forced to rob banks every other week just to pay for all the advertising space upkeep. rs4wmRnk_o.gif

Thank you for the feedback! Yeah, JACKAL is pretty well connected. I'm sure they have a PR guy in the mix somewhere XD

Really cool. I'm trying to make comics with 2 characters that I create in the game too. Can you give me some tips? 😁
