Generator Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Hey guys, If one puts the Energy Manipulator Stun proc piece into Chain Induction, does anyone know whether the stun will trigger on multiple guys? I've heard it will from the Winter set's Hold proc, just wanted to see if it will for this one, too. Thanks!
Sovera Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 I'll be honest with in that using procs for stuns and holds has little value. Holds and stuns have durations which are shortened by level difference. They also have magnitudes. A boss' stun protection is invariably 4. Most procs (most, but not all) have a magnitude of 2. So you would need a second proc to hit in the small window in which the effect of the first was still up in order to sun a boss. Now, we can still stun minions and lieutenants... but those aren't dangerous much. Just killing them achieves the same purpose and a damage proc hastens that. Basically, yes, it's an option to use fancy procs, but the system does not reward you for doing so and you will not really notice a difference. But to answer your question Chain Induction ought to have a chance to hit multiple enemies with its procs. It's not a big chance for the chain though, it is more for the initial hit. 1 - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.

Sometimes the fun and the experience isn't always about dps - For theme though that's a cool idea, but the last time I checked it would proc off multiple enemies - I vaguely remember a chance to heal working well in it also. Basically do what makes you happy and be your own hero @Generator 1 1

I don't need to say the number of people who go around with buggy or underperforming incarnates while declaring they really 'feel' the difference. But once knowing the things and still wanting to give a whirl then absolutely. 1 1 - Simple guide for newcomers.

Really I just wanted to make sure it would even work before I worried about if it would be worth doing. Interesting that the Heal proc would work too (Power Transfer, right?), I'd have worried that Murphy's Law was in effect and it was gonna heal the mobs instead of me. 🙂 Thanks and have a good one. 1

However, there's something to be said about stacking a stun proc in stun powers, or more commonly, a hold proc in a hold power. Being able to one tap lockdown a boss on a non Troller/Dom can come in handy, even if it is only for ~3 seconds or so. 1
JJDrakken Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 It effects 1st target. As for uselessness of it, unless all you do is solo, maybe. Only time you'll see procs effect beyond first are in your traditional AoE Powers like Foot Stomp or Ice Storm, etc.. But on teams, point is to stack magnitude of different CC powers. Your proc mag could help a CC person on team to finally get their stun or whatever to go off as well.

You can also put in call of the sandman for a 15% of your health heal. Force feedback can go in lightning clap with the kb->kd converter for a nice recharge. None of these are necessary, but power transfer can be two piece frankenslotted to give 6% regen with the heal proc + a damage enhancement. Whether this is needed for a tank? Probably not!
nihonsean Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 I've fooled around with slotting heal/end recovery procs in a couple of Brute builds and it works pretty well.
