Hey Everyone!

Many of you have been talking about it, asking about, and wishing for it. And we heard you.

Dev’s Choice is being relaunched!!!

We are bringing back the competition for best AE Arc in all the lands. But this time around, we are changing the rules just a little bit. We want people to submit arcs created by someone else, not yourself. This is a chance to play more of each other’s amazing content!

Guidelines

  1. Arcs should be submitted by someone else other than the Arc creator/publisher
    1. This is meant to encourage more people to play more Arcs
  2. We are looking for:
    1. Engaging story
    2. Interesting characters
  3. Farms are unlikely to be considered (sorry)
  4. All Arc contents MUST fall within the guidelines of the Homecoming Code of Conduct (Found here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/ )
    1. If a submitted arc is rejected, the creator of the arc will be notified
    2. The creator will have the opportunity to closely review the Code of Conduct, fix any errors, and re-submit for one last  round of testing
    3. Due to limited volunteer hours, rejected arcs can only be submitted for a one more round of testing

Any arcs that are properly submitted based on these guidelines will be tested by our very own GM team.

Dev’s Choice Prizes

  1. 1,000 Reward Merits
  2. Golden Title (For the character of your choosing)

Submissions

Please provide the following information In a reply to this post:

Well while it may seem in the interest of reciprocal payback, the fact of the matter is I love this arc, so I'm nominating @cranebump for Garden of the Will, Arc id #42287.

I mean something like number of submissions in a time period?

There is no limit at all. We will personally test every arc submitted here.

I submit two arcs for Dev Choice:

  • I Sing of Arms and the Man #42617 by @Darmian
  • All that Glitters 1.1: Missing in Mercy #35842 by @Ankylosaur

I like Darmian's AE because it shows a bit of ancient Roman culture and society. Here, as Imperious is dealing with a gladiator revolt, we see a connection between gladiators, their ruler, and the ritual they have to partake. I also love how the story portrays Imperious. Last but not least, placing a bunch of patrols in a long narrow corridor is genius.

On the other hand, Ankylosaur AE has less fighting, thus allowing players to concentrate more on the story. The collectible's placement seems easier to find and, custom enemies are minimal.

Right. This is separate. I think the August one is done, however.

I submit Storming the Palace: Bridget's Bane, Part1 #8646 by @Ololiuhqui

It is the first of 3 connected story arcs related to Bridget. You hunt down Bridget's doppelganger before the evil mirror wrecks Paragon City and you commit a few crimes to do so.

It also has a souvenir, which neatly summarizes the story and gives you a bit more detail.

thank you @cranebump. Yes the new screen on the launcher also confirms this. I kinda stuck both together from that. When are the August winners going to be marked with the gold disk though? I have played one of them and now that the other is there too full XP would be nice.

I’m not sure when the winners go live. I do know one of the winners, though (Hint: it wasn’t me).:-)o
