TerroirNoir
Right, well since the GMs are working their socks off I'm just going to reiterate my last three nominations: That's "Three Sisters", Arc ID 43103 by @Darmian -- and I've not seen anything new from you for ages -- "Injustice Systems", Arc ID 45766 by @cranebump -- they like their gritty noir -- and "Agents of Change, Part 1: The American Way", Arc ID 48597 by @cobie, a terrific opener to a trilogy. Now off to play more AEs of an SFMA type! Keep writing folks and I'll keep playing! 2 Great to be back in CoX!
TerroirNoir
Hey @GM Sparky & Co! If the Dev Choices are remaining static for a bit while the team builds a new evaluation metric or whatever, would it be possible to shuffle around the previous Dev Choices, since for the duration they're all valid again? That way those at the lower end of the list get a bit more light 🙂 Thanks again. Great to be back in CoX!

I'm working on trying to get the whole new structure down to something manageable. Currently, every aspect of Dev's Choice is a manual process. From keeping track of the submissions, to testing and record keeping, to setting up the staff voting, drafting the announcements, and flagging the arcs. I'ts a large process with many steps - all of which are manually handled by volunteer staff. So, I'm trying to find ways of streamlining things and making Dev's Choice more sustainable. I appreciate everyone's patience while this is being worked out. Edited May 20, 2022 by GM Sparky

Thyristor
I have a somewhat unusual submission for you to consider. A Developer's choice arc from 13 years ago. The arc was Ghost in the Machine by Turgenev ans awesome and made a big impression on me. So much so that when Turgenev followed a City of Heroes twitch streamer to say hello I don't know who was more surprised, me for seeing that name again or him for the fact that someone had remembered his stories from back then. Well it turns out that he had the .storyarc files on an old thumb drive and he shared them with me, and in between work I've been editing, testing and have published the first two arcs. So may I submit: #51630 Ghost in the Machine @Ivan Turgenev 1

I appreciate everyone's patience while this is being worked out. Perhaps, rather than manually reordering all the arcs in a given category (or containing a given keyword) that an extra button could be added to the AE interface, "Shuffle Results". Use the "Dice Roll" icon within the Character Creator, that randomly shuffles a costume design. This would randomly reorder within groups (Dev's choice, high player rating, contains Keyword XYZ) so that even within a filtered list, you wouldn't have to dig thru pages of listings to find new stuff? And yeah, manually walking through a slew of entries must be exhausting. Even having SOME scripting to parse and pre-screen entries would probably be helpful, as much as I HATE mechanized/scripted screeners for things like resumes, in this case, they might be needed. 1 AE ARC's (So Far!) -------------------- 15252 Child of the Tsoo - [SFMA] Ninjas, sorcerers, and human trafficking (Origin Story - Stick Figure/Storm Lotus) 50769 Hunt of the Eclipse - [SFMA] Finding something that was lost to Arachnos for nearly 20 years (Origin Story - Daisy Chain) 53149 Spells as a Service - [SFMA] When a young hacker makes a connection between magic and mathematics and encodes it into a computer program, chaos breaks loose! TerroirNoir2
I've not recommended anything for a while, and there's reasons for that, this being on a hiatus for one, and me being on a LOOONG review-ish thing elsewhere on here. However, with that said I'm giving a nomination to @LordRassilon (@Valeyard on the console) for "Heart of Words Part One" Arc ID 25906. Smart arc, with some fun surprises in it. I won't spoiler it.
