Papaschtroumpf Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 There is so much info out there that I don't know where to start and how not to make a huge mistake like deleting a storage bin full of slavage (assuming I can even figure out how to get that going). right now I am an SG of one and may keep it that way (just me and my alts). What I want is a place to provide additional storage and crafting tables so I don't have to keep going to Steel Canyon to craft. How do I build that? someone said you need a generator to power the table? Can I accidentally delete a bin full of salvage while editing the base, or are there safeguards? I don't want to invest a ton of time in base building, making it pretty, etc..
Impish Kat Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Do not fear... you cannot delete a salvage unit (incl inspie and enhancie) if it has stuff in it. There is, however, a limit of 18 salvage units per base. So choose wisely on what you decide to store. We can store quite a bit more on our characters as well as the AH these days.
Papaschtroumpf Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 Thanks. I think I finally figured out. Most of the pieces are "decorative" and do nothing but i now have a base with a few salvage bins, enhancemnt bins, a crafting table , vault access (not really necessary since you can do that frm the command line), a merit ATM and a telported to nowhere because I think you need to unclok them?
Erydanus Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Nothing needs to be unlocked. When you place a teleporter machine you have to place beacons near it to link it to those destinations. You can now put up to 10 on one machine. (I like to stop at 4-5 because I think the menu gets too cluttered). The various teleporters link to the beacons closest to them so if you just put the beacons neatly behind or infront of the machine (if it's on a platform) you should be fine. You have to use tech beacons with tech teleporters and arcane beacons with arcane teleporters. A few of the functional base items do require a bit of power & control. You will need an arcane or tech power item, most of them now give both power and control. A small generator for example will take care of most bases by itself. Power and control is universal and does not matter between tech/arcane. See me on Excelsior as Eridanus - Whisperkill - Kid Physics - Ranger Wilde - The Hometown Scrapper - Firewatch - and more!
