Ideas for New Unique IOs

Pretty straightforward request here.. I think it'd be a good idea to add new IO sets with Unique enhancements that give buffs that are only found in certain powersets.

 

- 20% Recovery/End Drain Resistance

- 20% Tohit Debuff Resistance

- 20% Defense Debuff Resistance

 

This can either come from a Unique IO or new set bonuses, which ever is more balanced. In my opinion, we should be able to get protections to a wider variety of debuffs. I only say this considering there is a Unique IO and several set bonuses for recharge slow protection. What do you think?

I could see DDR in a set bonus being problematic from a powerset balance point of view. Only super reflexes can easily cap DDR (shield on tanks also, maybe?) and it is a defining characteristic of the set. I'd be very surprised if this was made more widely available.

 

That said I am always looking for ways to shore up debuff resistance, particularly for armour sets that rely on resistance for damage mitigation and so eat a lot of hits. Recovery/end drain and tohit/perception debuff resistance might make interesting additions to future io sets.

Wouldn't mind some signature hero/villain themed ones, like an 'Aid from the Fae' IO set from Hero 1 for example.

DDR one would be problematic.  The other two would probably be fine?

Regeneration resistance would be nice to have as well.  There's several sources of -regen lategame, and it can really sneak up on you (Malta Titans and Praetorian Clockwork come to mind).  Not as useful as DDR would be, but still...
