Which pairs better with /Ninja?

If you play with the blaster and attack mobs you'll notice you can proc critical damage on some attacks coming out of the stealth. That comes from Shinobi. It's not a direct +dam like aim, but it still works out to a pretty decent power.

Patch 27 Ninja Shinobi was BUFFED

    • No longer grants a damage buff outside of stealth
    • Now grants the caster a 20% chance to inflict lethal criticals with every attack
      • The amount of damage will be based on the recharge time of the power
      • Usually this will be 80% of the standard damage formula
      • This bonus damage ignores enhancements and damage buffs

 

It's a strong proc

 

For the OP a proc heavy set like Ice would benefit more from Shinobi. Can it make up for Fire extra damage maybeeeeeeeee..... 

  • The amount of damage will be based on the recharge time of the power  ( if it counts in animation time ice may be better if not then really most are pretty similar.) ( Also is it original recharge time or after buffs, anyone know?)

 

Someone else pointed out  Elec/ninja is a great sith theme. I went with that theme but went Sonic/Ninja. The - res helps shinobi and the blapper build really worked out.  Also with ninja an certain set you can achieve 44% def to range,melee,and aoe but you sacrifice to much damage imo and 33% is the sweet spot ( 1 purple ratio).

 

Old ninja build with 44% def may help you with a template

As I mentioned before I chose to roll an Elec/Ninja, and through together a quick build and have been play testing it. The toon is extremely resilient. The revamped elec blast works really well especially with a charge up, thunderous blast from shinobi stealth. Otherwise as it drains mobs and applies shock damage procs, and further reduces their ability to fight. I have blinding powder and smoke flash recharging in roughly 32 seconds, they are more utilitarian in aspect, but smoke flash is more useful given the -10.5% res debuff. Clarion for mez protection, and also because I didn't need Barrier or Aegis. The build can stealth missions as necessary as well with Shinobi and Sprint Celerity stealth proc. Now the meat and potatoes...the toon ends up with nonincarnate softcapped typed defenses to SLFCEN, P at 21.26%, T at 15.98%. Additionally M is 31.26%, R is 39.7% and A is 41.88%.

HP sits at 1635.7, Regen at 474.14% (32.31 HP/Sec). 654.28 HP Absorb. Max End 115.4% End Use 3.19, End Rec 5.19.

I have one of these in a ninja themed supergroup for thematic reasons because... yeah ... character conception.

I can't say that it played it all that much, but I have to say I've let a lot of 100+ characters sit too long with really playing them. 

 

I do remember liking sneaking around and shooting arrow at unsuspecting targets.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

older version gave a minor damage bonus, but it was better out of a hidden state.  I believe you now have a chance for Lethal critical on all attacks.

Thanks for D-Sync Enhancements! Just wish things like Resist/End, Heal/End and Damage/Mez had a third stat that made them more viable. Suggestions - add Recharge to Ribosomes, Range to Golgis, and Slows to Peroxisomes. These changes would allow for an endurance cost/range, recharge/endurance, and slow/mez or slow/damage enhancements.

 I have made a Gravity/Electric Dominator which fits the theme well.

I also made a Time/Electric Defender for the theme.

Gravity/Time controller for Jedi

Dual pistols/ninja gets my vote. The only blaster I have that I enjoy more than my DP/ninja is my DP/ma blaster. 
 

It is very stylistic and weapon based. I enjoy weapon based specs a lot more than elemental/super power based specs. It checks a lot of my fantasy/scifi boxes. 
 

Very fun combo that does good damage and looks cool.
