Tankshock Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I'm thinking of powers like Slowed Response, Enervating Field, Sleet, Tar Patch, and Disruption Field. Am I missing any other big ones?

Uun Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 There are four buff/debuff sets that have multiple -res powers. Poison offers the highest total vs. single targets and Cold offers the highest total vs. multiple targets, although Heat Loss has a 6 minute recharge so can't be made perma. There are two blast sets with -res. Sonic offers the most, as 6 of its 9 attacks provide -res, but Beam also provides -regen. The highest -res combo vs. single targets would be Poison/Sonic. These are all defender numbers: Poison Envenom: -40% (ST) / -20% (8 ft AoE) Venomous Gas: -25% (15 ft PBAoE toggle) Sonic Resonance Sonic Siphon: -30% (ST) Disruption Field: -30% (15 ft Ally AoE toggle) Cold Sleet: -30% (20 ft AoE) Heat Loss: -30% (20 ft AoE) Trick Arrow Entangling Arrow: -20% (ST) Disruption Arrow: -40% (25 ft AoE) Sonic Blast 4 ST, 1 cone, 1 AoE: -20% each (stack with each other), 5-12 sec duration (20 sec for Dreadful Wail) Beam Rifle Piercing Beam: -20% (5 deg cone), 10 sec duration 4 Uuniverse
catsi563 Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Dont forget Enervating field Toggle: Ranged (Targeted Area of Effect), Foe: -Dam, -Res And howling twilight My Dear you deserve the services of a great wizard but youll have to settle for the aid of a second rate pick pocket ~Schmendrick So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?

catsi563 Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 they changed it HT used to be a massive DR debuff on targets made it a real AV killer. means they moved the -DR to Tar patch when i wasnt looking 1 My Dear you deserve the services of a great wizard but youll have to settle for the aid of a second rate pick pocket ~Schmendrick So you mean you'll put down your rock, and I'll put down my sword; and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?
Hedgefund Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 VEAT Soldier Venom Grenade is worth mentioning. Add Shatter Armor from Mace Mastery and they enfluffify a hard target. A very nice, surprising source of -res is Bio's Evolving Armor. Obviously it doesn't compare to a debuff set but the -7.5 debuff is quite noticable. Blaster Sonic Manipulation.Disruption Aura is even better. Any change to HT came before I joined in I7. The DM defender I made back then did not have -res in HT. 1
MoonSheep Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 poison/sonic defender would generate absurds amount of -res. it would deal close to zero damage though i made a poison/fire which i found to be a good middle ground. fitting in a few -res procs adds to the fun. goes great with a kin on the team If you're not dying you're not living

Howling Twilight has always had -regen (making in an AV killer) and Tar Patch has always had -res. I just checked the Prima Guides from CoH and CoV launch. 1 Uuniverse
