Inspired by @Crowcus Pocus's thread yesterday about Rad/Stone brutes, I had a mess around in Mids with a Stone/Rad Granite-less Tank for AFK fire farming.

Turned out really good! Doesn't need accolades or P2W buffs. And compared to the Elec/Rad, its Atom Smasher recharges 1s quicker. Probably the best overall AFK fire farmer!

Build is attached. Don't use Rock Armor, Tough, or Granite. They're just set mules.

This is for fire farming. So use maps #51289 (5 mins) or #38973 (10 mins).

Looks great! My Brute build has a few mistakes in it. I'll be updating it in the next few hours. It's really cool to see how we can all build differently and achieve similar stats!

By the way, Crystal Armor is more than a defensive armor - it also grants +recovery. Even unslotted it's a net positive recovery buff, so you might as well turn it on!

Here's my Tank build attached. Happy farming!

Also would it be worth it to toggle Minerals as well for the +15% Recharge?

yes with the fire farmer you need to add a kb universal travel or a kb steadfast into the build unless you are maxed on everything you will get almost perma knocked down and spin in circles in the air.

For a rad/fire brute, Temperature Protection + Alpha Slot level shift will stop KB by themselves. The build in the OP has both.

If you haven't got alpha to tier 3 yet, then just put a blessing of the zephyr KB IO in superspeed.

My regular content Stone/Rad Tanker is currently my afk support for my active fire farmer and it always works out great. Perhaps a second build specifically for being my fire farm companion is in order since it seems promising.

I will take a look at your build and use it as inspiration for building my own. I can share the results later if I discover anything interesting or worth mentioning in my choices, though I am sure yours are probably better, I just like to build my own. Thanks for sharing and also thanks for the fire maps I use your's all the time.

Yeah, that too! Just noticed I left it off in my tank build as well.

Crowcus Pocus I tried the Rad/Stone Brute hoping it would live in a solo farm. It's didn't. I had tier 2 Alpha when I gave it a try. It worked OK with another farmer but solo it was tough. I'm farming up a Stone/Rad tank with the same hope.

That's odd. Even without incarnates my brutes do just fine (although getting to T3 asap does make things smoother). Two things come to mind:

1) Check your fire defense and resistance before you jump in. You should have ~45% and 88% respectively. If not, then you might be missing a toggle or maybe didn't upgrade your winter set to superior.

2) Don't jump to the middle of the map right away. What I typically do is I enter the mission and then I just walk a bit forward or to the sides. By doing this I get the attention of 3-4 groups but not overaggro to the point where my regen/heal procs can't keep me alive. As things die, other patrols will join the party but not to the point of getting you killed.

Hope this helps.

I took all the IOs off the Brute and put them on the Tanker. Maybe I'll do another respec and try out the Brute again. I only had T2 Alpha when I ran it. My build is a little different than yours so I'll look into updating it. Maybe I'll try Agility Alpha like with the tank.

Not going to far into the mission was the key. My spine/fire brute can even AFK farm when doing this.

AA, thanks for contributing so much to the farming community.

I had a question or two for AA or any others that might have used the build posted. I wanted to ask a few questions on how you typically pilot this.

It looks like you use Luck candy to maintain defense, do you add Storm Kick to the rotation for the defense, or just double Luck at all times?

What is your typical rotation? I thought it might be DT > BL > EF but that doesn't seem enough to fill the void. Then I thought perhaps it is
DT > BL > EF > (RT or GZ or SK rotate thru these on attack 4, 8, and 12) but that also seemed to have some dead space.

I know oftentimes builds don't play out exactly how they seem on paper, so in reality maybe it plays smoothly. I've never loved the spell effects/sounds of fire farm, so I'd love to transition over to SL just for no other reason, I wanted to inquire to make sure I understand the build properly.

After getting a Rad/Stone Brute up to veteran level 50+ and a Stone/Rad tank up to almost veteran level 20 it's obvious the tank is better at AFK farming. I thought Fury would make the difference but it didn't.. I was able to build in Musculature Alpha and added Hasten. Hasten might only work for 2 minutes but on a 5 minute farm that's +28% more recharge on average (14% for 10 minute farm). Biggest problem with this build is endurance and with end modification in Musculature Alpha, 3 Performance +END IO's, and conserve power things seem to work.

I'd like everyone to look over this build and let me know if you see anything that can be improved. Also if you have a build that you think is better please post it.

Seconded.  I was surprised at the low S/L defense when looking at the build.  The provided bind/menu only combines inspirations to reds, nothing for purples.  I guess I could try it out on test but it looks like it would be taking a lot of damage without much defense.

not saying it does not work i created this MA/Rad farmer and tried it out it really is a lot of work and a struggle to farm with and keep alive. some of that my be just me not running it properly but i decided to go a different rout. i use a Rad/Fire/Mu fire farmer and did a second build to S&L farmer it works very well just maybe not as fast as some people would like. here is the build maybe people can tweak it to serve there needs.

The two purple insps you load in with should have you capped for the first 60s. You have the heals, absorb, and purple insp drops to keep you alive in the 120s that follows before you reset the map.

I just made the S/L afk build and I'll say that i dont have any incarnates on him yet so I don't have agility or ageless to help but I sent him in the 5 min afk farm and his end crashed in less than a minute with all 11 toggles and just atom smasher on auto.. are all 11 toggles nessicary? Will agility and ageless fix this? Other than the end problem it seems like an amazing afk build though, thank you!
