For quite some time -- I believe back into Live -- if you use a group teleport like ATT, pets are teleported automatically regardless of the setting of the 'Prompt Team Teleport' flag. This can be used against any pet-using class, although it is more crippling against Masterminds, due to so much of their combat ability being tied up in their pets.

An illustration of the problems this causes occurred during the midday MSR today. I was playing my Demons/Ice MM, and we were performing the bomb setting. I had been running petless to that point because the pets don't keep up, and had stopped at the top of the upper rim of the bowl to summon and buff my pets when an ATT to the middle of the bowl was activated. Despite my declining the teleport, my Demonlings and Demons were automatically summoned (before either upgrade could be put on them) into the center of the bowl, where they were defeated within two seconds.

I don't know if it's practical to make the pet response to group teleport subject to the confirmation check the character gets if they have the confirm option set, but I feel that being able to yank characters' pets away could be considered to be griefing.

I recently quit a tf because of this problem after repeatedly asking another player to stop using incades destiny and tp'ing my pets out of supremacy range and then watching them die while i got battered by the mobs they'd left. It was a speed run....and i was first to the mobs and already fighting when they'd arrive 15 seconds later and tp the team and my pets to another part of the map, just far enough away that i could see them and watch my pets die trying to get back to me. I declined every tp but the pets don't get that option.

this'd warrant a ticket to GM's for player conduct i think. esp because it leaves you all but powerless to deal with the mob groups you're handling. otherwise it'll mean you going petless till the boss fights or where it's the tp's not needed

I disagree.  This was a speed run, and largely orients around stealth speedsters TPing everyone to the boss, kill, move on to next mission.  Sure, fix the issue with pets not obeying Null the Gull, but it is not an infraction.

I have auto TP on and, with my many MMs, have never had problems in such missions.  As MMs are "plow the road" types, I usually just pointlessly fight a path along with others awaiting TP.  Sometimes it's even needed as the advance TP guy bites off more than he can chew.

As for why have auto TP on, with all its exciting unexpectedness, well, as Bill Murry said in Ground Hog Day, "It's new.  Anything new is good." 🤩

I'd agree is the speed run was being run by other players who can speed, if i'm the first there on an mm and my pets arrive before any other player is close thats clearly not the case as i frequently find you have to wait anything up to 60 seconds or longer for slower pets like mercs/necro to catch up to you as they don't always 'port' in. In some cases i had to go back and look for them only to find they walked into some scenery and all i can see is the upper torso.

Stop joining speed runs as a Mastermind.  The AT is not built for it.

Small contained target but you need 10-15 seconds to summon, upgrade and buff?  oops a brute/stalker/scrapper/tanker already finished the said target in the time it took you to read this.

Stop doing them? Why lol. As i said earlier i was the fastest player on the team, pets were set up and buffed and i was first to the mobs and already attacking before anyone else even arrived and needed a tp. I've been doing speed runs for as long as its been possible. Never had any issues with mm's on them til players started slotting incandes. Used to set records on live and when we got HC back i was teaching players how to speed tinpex for quick reward tables. 10-15 seconds means you only miss 1-2 mobs and that only matters on kill alls.

this is what i was talking about, any AT i have that's got pets, i don't summon till the boss fights. or just use lore's if they're an option. idk, just makes sense to me to do that for TF's, etc. but MSR's got no need to port players all over the place, esp from bombs to center to fight U'kon Gr'ai

Incandesence has the best buff to healing received in the game.  It even improves the proc heal from power transfer and pancea.  It increases healing by 80% on the tier 4.  I use it just after the last pylon is destroyed on a MSR so everyone gets larger healing during the bombing and ukon battle.  Some people might use it after ukon is spawned and there is a purpose to that as well - if your team doesnt do at least 10% of the damage,  you dont get badge credit for the kill.  With how often people are trying to still plant bombs while ukon is already up,  several people say they never even saw him or didnt get credit.

If there is a way for pets to share the same teleport option as their owner then i would say its worth it.

even the ingame option to prompt to accept still ports the pets away from you. the only option i see that makes sense is turn off the TP prompt on speed runs, otherwise, you wrote the ticket for having it on, enjoy the rough ride ahead, right?
