Blasters Wrath

I bought some  Blasters Wrath enhancements from the merit vendor. When  I go to slot them I am unable to, all slots turn grey. I am a lvl 26 blaster. No other Wrath enhancements are slotted.I posted in general and was directed here. Thank you  for your help.

Do you have the regular version of the enhancements or the superiors? You have to be level 50 for the superiors.

 

That's the most likely cause I can think of. If that isn't the problem then: What power sets do you have? What powers are you trying to slot them in?

Someone else asked this. I hovered over the enhancements and could not tell. I bought them at the steel canyon AH merit vendor for 100 each if that helps.

do they say superior? They shouldnt, can you post a screenie?

You can tell by looking at the name, if they are superior then it will say that in the name. However if you bought them for merits then they should be the regular one.

 

So given that can you either give us a screenshot to tell us your powersets and which powers you have? You should be able to slot them so I'm not sure what's going on.

I did a print screen with JPEG and TGA...don't know where it is or how to post it...;-(

It should be in the screenshots folder, you'll need to upload it to photobucket or similar.

 

In the meantime can you tell us what powers and powersets you have?

is this screenshot folder in the CoH directory or windows. I'm seeing neither.

It should be in the CoH folder. If you can't find it then could you just type in the powers that you have? It could be an issue where a particular power isn't set to accept Blaster enhancements which is why I'm asking.

 

EDIT: So in my experience when someone can't slot an ATE there are a few likely causes:

1. They are trying to slot it into an incompatible powers, for the most part ATEs can only go into damaging powers with the exception of Masterminds who can only put them into pet powers.

2. They have a Superior version and aren't level 50.

3. They have an ATE for the wrong AT.

 

So to that end please check the following:

1. Check that the enhancement is actually called Blaster's Wrath and not Superior Blaster's Wrath

2. Make sure you are trying to put it into an attack.

3. Make sure your character is actually a Blaster and not a Sentinel, Defender or Corruptor

Your character isn't a Blaster, they are a Sentinel. Blasters don't get Focused Power Bolt, only Sentinels do.

holy crap. Thank you. I have looked everywhere for this solution. It indeed was my fault. lesson learned. Thank you all.

Edit: are they wasted or can I resell them or transfer them to another character.

You can sell them on the market or email them to a different character. You could also use enhancement converters to change them into an ATO for a different AT.

 

It's probably worth selling them on the market, I don't know what the price differences are between the blaster and sentinel sets but you should be able to get some inf to put towards buying one of the sentinel sets.
