Scarlet Shocker Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 I happened to click on a Paragon City Community Information beacon in Talos the other day, just a moment's idle curiosity to see what they did these days. If you click on Character and scroll down it gives you this data. That to me is amazing. It made me smile but it also made me ask "why?" What could it be about that particular activity that is worth recording. Do you get a badge for doing it more than once? Well thus far it doesn't seem so. Maybe once a day for 100 days? Or is it just a junk stat that is recordable so it is recorded with no meaningful outcome? (Possible but the dullest of all possible outcomes IMHO) I still think it's one of those little gems we occasionally find in our city but I'm curious to know why it exists in the first place and what possible benefit it could have. 1 There's a fine line between a numerator and a denominator but only a fraction of people understand that.
TerroirNoir2 Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 I've wondered about that particular thing myself. Might have been intended for something but never finished.
City Council Michiyo Posted January 20, 2023 City Council Posted January 20, 2023 The game tracks the number of times you've touched *any* badge, they just happen to display the counter for the badge on top of Atlas. 1
Glacier Peak Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Well it is something that was in the game back in the early days of CoH. It was something almost every player did when they got their travel power at Level 14 (unless you were a Super Speed user!). That and move around Steel Canyon, up and on to the buildings or down the promenades. I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! Best Post Ever....
MrAxe Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I know the record keeping is a bit sensitive. One trip can be record as two depending on my flight pattern.

"Show me on the badge where the villain touched you..." 🤐 4 1 There's a fine line between a numerator and a denominator but only a fraction of people understand that.
