I've just discovered CoH private servers within the past few weeks and have been enjoying this game possibly more than I did during live thanks to the incredible community so to all you, thank you! 

 

I selected Dark/Stone on a whim just to get back into the game and have actually quite enjoyed it! I have managed to reach lvl 48 despite the unquenchable endurance this combination seems to demand and am ready to begin working towards a lvl 50 build but having trouble finding any for this combination on the forums. I am living paycheck to paycheck in Paragon City so I would like to avoid major financial misteps with trial and error  until I get more established.

 

My preference for a build is fairly straightforward, I want to be damn near immortal and retain the ability to be able to attack frequently without worrying so much about hearing that terrify out of endurance SFX. For me, pumping out damage isn't much of a concern as this combination doesn't feel like it lends it's self terribly well to that? 

 

Anyone have a build they could share to get me headed in the right direction?

Haven't seen any of these running around, best bet is to check out the dark armr tank builds and the /stone builds and throw something together or have a look at the only ones i have seen- which are brutes and shuffle sets til your happy. And welcome back 🙂

I don't normally post builds, but I also haven't seen a Dark/Stone Tanker, as Stone Melee seems fairly rare although its strong, I play it on a few different toons including a SD/SM tanker.

Preface, I do not have a DA/SM tanker, but honestly I might just roll one up but already have built DA/Kat and DA/SS tankers as well. This is how I'd build a DA/SM Tanker.

The build res w/ 1 stack MotT:

S&L - 89.54% (In practice you're likely to have at least 2 MotT stacks, so this will likely be at the 90% cap.)

F&C - 88.96% (In practice you're likely to have at least 2 MotT stacks, so this will likely be at the 90% cap.)

E - 58.95% (This is the second weakest resistance after Toxic.)

N - 90%

T - 56.35% (The weakest res value.)

P - 90%

 

Defense wise:

S&L - 36.78% (1 small luck can get you to non incarnate softcap)

F,C,E.N - 27.09%

T&P - 25.84%

M - 47.72%

R&A - 28.34%

 

In my build I put in Unleash Potential and Demonic(aka Eye of the Magus) for you to alternate as necessary. I also put in Aegis as a destiny, but you can adjust to your liking with Aegis, Unleash Potential comes back sooner, and end management is not necessary. Otherwise you could use Barrier for a third rotational piece to work when Unleash Potential or Demonic are on CD, which is not a bad idea by any means either as Dark Regeneration should help keep your end full as long as you use it while having mob density surrounding you.

 

Also I have Darkest Night in the build for a significant ToHitDebuff and also -Dam to help not only you, but your whole team. Otherwise Gloom, Fault will help with further mitigation.

I'd post my build but 2 issues

 

1. I'm not at my computer, so I don't have access to it

2. It's an older build of mine, so it's probably not as fine tuned as I'd like 

What this team needs is more Defenders

I am level 42 and sympathize with your endurance problems. My toon eats blues like cookie monster eats cookies. Here's my current build: Not really sure where I am going to go from here. I was thinking about maybe putting more recharge into Conserve power and adding unleash potential with my 44,47, and 49 power picks.
