How do you slot Drain Psychic and why?

I have been leveling a beam/psy blaster which is going well. But I am confused on the optimal slotting for Drain Psychic.

 

It seems to add enough recovery with just one mob. The regeneration seems a bit weak on one mob.

 

I have been using SOs so far 3 recharge reducers, 2 acc, 1 end mod or 1 health.

 

Set bonuses matter to me, so I want to use a full Preemptive optimization or Numina set in the power. But I can be talked into something else.

 

Is it worth it to slot for regen? Or just go for max recovery?

I tend to slot with a full numina set as I'm generally chasing ranged defence on any character with drain psyche. As you say the recovery needs no help but more regen is always welcome. I just wish numina maxed out the recharge enhancement but it's not too bad.

 

The trick though is making sure drain psyche can then hit without any accuracy slotting in it. In general blasters and dominators tend to be 'full set' builds for me so there are plenty of global accuracy bonuses around which helps. But I always back this up by taking tactics (and the kismet proc). Drain psyche means you can basically ignore the cost of running extra toggles so this works out well.
