Chatlogs and Private chatlogs

Current with 24hour timestamps (not sure if it matters)

Chatlog:  YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS  Message

Private:  MM-DD-YYYY HH:MM:SS Message

 

Please make private chat match the regular chat format.

Pfft, consistency. That's crazy talk. 🙂

 

(And I don't *think* it matters, at least as far as logging, if that's what you're asking - you shouldn't get 2022 and 2023 mixed in together, for instance, just because you PM'd the same person on (say) Feb 2nd on both years - it should just add to the end.)

It's even more fun with private chats since it will also not append in actual order.   It will save the current chat in reverse order sometimes which wouldn't be a big deal if they at least had better timestamps. 😄

 

Most of my chatlog archive has to do with playing around with a parser for combat logs and drops.  I was just looking at my private log since I was sent a tell just as I was logging out last night

combat logs and trying to figure out how powers work by the numbers.  BTW, I never figured it out.
