How do i take screen shots of characters ??

The default button is the Print Screen key ("PRT SCN" On mine) on your keyboard, if you don't have that key, the command is /screenshot, and you can bind that to a key by typing /bind [KEY] screenshot  Example: /bind p screenshot   Which will take a screenshot whenever you hit P

Not sure if I have been doing something wrong

but....

When I use print screen it does just that. No UI. Just your character.

To get the UI to show your tray setup I use the Snipping tool.

I typically will close chat, I sometimes forget. My apologies.

Yeah, CoH screenshots automatically remove the UI and there seems to be no way to change it.

 

The really odd thing is that the image copied to the clipboard does still have it.  So if I want the UI, I'll open the default screenshot in Paint and paste the other one over it.

Type /screenshotui 1 and then the UI will be included in future screenshots for that session. You'll have to do this each time you log in.

I believe there is also a setting in options to set whether the screenshot includes the UI, not able to verify at the moment, but seem to recall seeing it there.

'/screenshotui 1' to have screenshots include the UI, '/screenshotui 0' to not include the UI. Default is off.

Also be careful what you bind to p.  Once long ago I rebound autorun from r to p.  Rather embarrassing when asking in in chat to ask if we wanted to 'p'ull that Magma Lord and have my scrapper suddenly race off all Leroy Jenkins towards the Lord and his friends
