Dark Blast / Gloom debuf display bug

Any time I hit an enemy with either  Gloom or Dark Blast an Icon shows on my hud as if I was getting the debuf from the power. It does not appear to be changing my hit chance but something is clearly wrong here.

That is the icon for your spectral pet summon.  When those icons are there,  the corresponding ghost is active.

Oooooooooo ok that is as clear as mud.

I get what you are saying but nothing in the game explains that and the tool tip for the thing affecting my character does not say anything like that.

I can totally see how that is what is going on, but that is  not what is being shown to the player at all. I am sure this is not exactly important to anyone but man that is not conveying the right information since it makes it look like I am getting debuffed by my own power not that I am getting a free pet from my power.

Im unsure as to why it displays like that.  It was part of the necromancy revamp so it was done by the current devs.  My guess is it had to display like that or not at all so they chose to have it tracked that way.  If its possible to say something like 'your spectral ghost from *power* is active' would be great.  At least we know which powers we need to spam for our ghosts by checking the buff icons.
