Stalkers, Stalkers, Stalkers.

 

IMO very few AT's have changed so much since their inception, for the better of course (thanks Devs) 🙂 

but those changes are not what this post is about.

 

Most AT's have a power that is shared amongst all powersets, to name a few, Build up, Aim, Taunt etc...

but stalkers seem to get the most of these fundamental abilities. Hide, Placate, Assassins strike.

The Stalker changes make all of these abilities fantastic when utilized properly in combat

however, to make the most of your stalker these abilities are fairly essential.

 

Some powersets have unique Assassins strikes (this is fine). A few don't (this is also fine)

My request is simple: Can we proliferate AS animations across the powersets?

Why you ask?

Poppin a squat (horse stance) doesn't work thematically for some characters. 🤣

 

Now there is a precedent for this.

Blasters (which are just ranged stalkers IMO) all have snipe. Most Snipes have at least 2 possible animations to choose from.

Snipe works similarly to AS. It has a long cast time outside of combat, does fantastic damage and is also fairly essential.

Even 1 additional option would be amazing tbh.

Its easy to criticize a suggestion but can you suggest an alternative?

I agree.

Unfortunately, playing to the mechanic makes playing stalkers feel weird when teaming.

I really haven't had teammates complain when I rush away to get my hide on and then run back into combat, but I have felt like I need to alter my playstyle to a more scrappery mode when on teams that I feel isn't really befitting of a stalker.

I'm always up for power animation proliferation.

 

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

normally id switch a couple of animation files around to achieve the look I desire but

for some reason the way the game handles AS is different than other melee attacks

I'm assuming this is because, it has an in combat animation & an out of combat animation

Ill keep working at it but I'm not very smart so it could be awhile

All for this as I currently working on an Earth/Earth stalker 🙂 

 

Can we have an Assassin Strike set? akin to a Snipe set

 

Not sure what the set benefits would be ... something that boosts damage(maybe only while hidden), accuracy, and maybe perception?

A Unique Perception proc? Something increases the radius of hide so darn Nemesis don't see you 😛

Agreed that assy strikes on some sets need alt animations.

 

Some have it, like martial arts, some don't.

 

That double fisted punch thingy... Meh. Not for me.

 

Katana and the tickle poke.... Sigh.
