Snokle Posted October 22, 2023 Posted October 22, 2023 So I fired up another stalker recently and was thinking what is the usual standard for slotting the ATOs, right now I have assassin mark proc slotted in my T1, and then have the other ATO currently three slotted in two powers to fill up with procs. But I have seen a lot of builds just go full six slotted for each ATO. I was tempted by the 5% to S/L defense but it looks priority of that has lowered a bit. Just wondering what is the best way to use these ATOs for the stalker. If it matters I am running an ice/rad build. 1 Psicy Chill - Ice/Psi/Psi | Sive Ni Brielan - Plant/Earth/Fire | Elemental Elder Lord - Earth/Fire/Fire | Selinia Baneheart - Dark/Therm/Fire | Mylia Stenetch - Necro/Dark/Soul | Radiated Shot - Rad/Arch/Mace | Nameless Witch - Storm/Water/Mu | Phantom Racer - Fire/Cold/Scorp | Neera Darkspar - Beam/Temp/Soul | Neera Etra - Dark/SR | Shieldbreaker - Elec/Shield/Mu | Frozen Tombstress Ice/Rad/Ice | Subliminal Darkness - Psi/Dark/Psi | Mirana Darkblade - Katana/Regen/Soul | Máistir Fiach - SoA Huntmaster | Night Reaver - SoA Widow | Sweet Senpai - SoA Bane
Without_Pause Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 In short, a Def based build can skip on splitting them since they are likely getting enough Def anyway. Res based builds on the other hand need all of the help they can get. Any Res based build will still go after Res, and then whatever else Def is just seen as an added nice to have bonus since they have no DDR. I stick the Striker's Guile proc in AS and the other in the T1/T2. 2 Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Outsmart: Fort 3. Sneakers: Stj/ea Stalker. 4. StrikerFox Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 I always put the Guile proc into AS so that the following power has a chance to crit, and also so that AS has the least chance to turn into the slow version. I usually put the Mark proc into the weakest power in an attack chain or into an AoE. Mark's BU chance can be activated by any attack but for it to work, the power it is slotted in needs to be used once when entering a new zone/mission. Having it in an attack chain or AoE ensures the proc gets used early. Don't slot it in a mule power. The amount of slots dedicated to ATOs usually depend on what set bonuses are needed for a build. Whether chasing S/L +def/res, +acc, +dam, +recharge etc. 2 1
Kaika Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 (edited) For Guile, the re-hide proc always goes into Assassin's strike, since Assassin's strike from hide is lower DPA then hide-less AS and can cause issues if you unexpectedly hide into it. It works well anyways since you basically always wanna be using Assassin's strike on cooldown, it adds to the quick burst with a high damage follow up, and its kinda right in the perfect golden area for consistent proccing even when slotted for recharge. Splitting it for the double 5% S/L is a solid plan if your a res/non-positional secondary, but going the full 6 for the 10% recharge and 6%s/l res isn't a terrible idea either, it's really build dependent. As for Mark, it can kinda go where-ever I like to 6 slot it in my T1/2 for the 10% recharge bonus since I rarely wanna put procs in those, but since the proc is global it can go where-ever, just you do have to use the power at least once per zone to get the proc to activate.
