I saw a level 22 Corruptor with "Gargantuan Improved Recharge Time Bonus".  Anyone tell me what gives this?  It certainly isn't LotG's

Might be the +10% recharge available in some purple I/O and superior ATO sets.

The description seems to fit either a purple set or superior set for the set bonus, but you have to be 50 to slot them. Unless of course they were exemplared on a team, but I would think if you were looking at their set bonuses you would have noticed their actual level there.

No it was definitely a level 22.

Ah got it.  It is indeed the Archetype Origin Enhancements, such as Ascendancy of the Dominator or Defender's Bastion which have a minimum level requirement of level 10.

Curious.  It has the same set bonus name as a ordinary ATO vs. a superior ATO?  I didn't know that.

Gargantuan is 8.75%.  ATOs, Preventative Medicine and Reactive Defenses sets.

 

Ultimate is purples, Superior ATOs, stuff you can't slot until 50.

That panel and a few others that use those size descriptors desperately need a revamp. Don't see why the words couldn't be replaced with the numbers they describe, and aggregated rather than listing them all separately.

See the HCwiki article entitled "Enhancement Set Bonuses".  Goes into detail.  Same article containing information about the Rule of Five.  There are 7 colors linked to 7 different descriptors from Tiny to Ultimate.  Gargantuan is the 6th while Ultimate is the largest, i.e. 7th.  Each is paired to a multiplier of a base value (which is the 1st descriptor, Tiny) for a given aspect (Accuracy, Recharge, etc.) of an enhancement.

to the OP; I'd suggest you might be confusing their level with Veteran Level, which is something I do often (it is really confusing and needs work but first world issue)  but I'd posit they were a level 22 veteran with a shit tonne (metric) of set bonuses and had the big stuff

No those are their current level.  The non-Superior versions of the ATOs are the Gargatuan value.   When catalyzed they become the Superior versions and carry the Ultimate value.
