Meknomancer Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Last mish of the arc via ourob, freed Bile and was leading him out when he attaches himself to an invincible Freaklok Terminal Ripper who i was able to pew pew taunt into following me but...he then gets surrounded by a mob of friendly Freakloks who end drain him and keep him kd'd so i can;t pull him to the exit with Bile. Anyone come across this before, its the first time i've seen an escort attach itself to an npc while being taken to exit.
Luminara Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 All escorts glom onto the nearest critter if you lose them, either by moving too fast or by leaving a certain range (which is significantly reduced by all forms of stealth). They're supposed to automatically switch back to following you if you get close enough to them (i've never had one fail to do so, though some seem to need you to be within melee range of the escort to reacquire it). Get busy living... or get busy dying. That's goddamn right.

Been offline a while but appreciate the post. i had to reset the mish to complete. Bile was attached to an invincible freaklok and it was surrounded by friendlies and couldn't move so there was no way to extricate him. Clearly a bug.

Not if you moved beyond his tracking range and the Freaklok was the at the time closest ally. If you never lost him for his tracking ability? Then yeah, it is.

Targetable and can be end drained but its hp can't be touched (i tried pew pewing it with pets to no avail) . Bile should not have attached himself to an enemy, especially an unkillable one. I wasn't moving that fast but i did lose him once which is when he attached himself to the freaklok. I aggroed it and pulled it towards exit and Bile followed til the Freaklok met that mob of friendlies you see in pic and got surrounded and drained and that was it. Bugged and stuck. The Freaklok are not your enemies. They are your allies in that mission. That is why they do not attack you on your way to free Bile, but instead fight the PPD in the courtyard. The bug isn't Bile latching onto a Freaklok. The bug is the Freaklok in question should not be flagged as an enemy. And because there is an enemy in Bile's aggro range, he is trying to kill it. He cannot kill it, because it is not actually an enemy. That is the bug to be fixed. The bug is not an escort attaching itself to an NPC. The bug is that an ally for some reason is showing as an enemy to you despite not being one. (My guess is that is why it is unkillable.) And because Bile was able to aggro on that Freaklok, the others END drained him. 1
