Wow. I hadn't thought of getting it again after it expires. Not sure if you can re-up but I'll let you know after like 87 hours of play? 

 

Seems to me like you are seeking the ultimate damage as priority. I'd look into leveraging the p2w amplifier buffs with your build. If you play on indom, represent, you would know who would give this advice (@Twist). That's if you don't mind spending 60 mill for 8 hours of play haha. With those buffs you could push heavy on recharge and probably take musculature. Then maybe... just maybe avoid 6 slotting the normal heavy hitters like sprint/rest/brawl/health/stamina and anything besides laser beam eyes in body mastery. 

 

Thanks again and to be clear I'm in no way a math based build optimizer type whatsoever. Just a big dummy that picks what might be fun as priority (all subjective) then try to build around that. Loosely based on the best defense is a good offense theory. Also the "if you ain't die'n you ain't try'n" thing.  Lastly, cuz I'm blathering, if you haven't tried a snipe on a scrapper you are missing out. Straggler runs away and you know the rest.

you could swap the stealth IO into sprint and chuck a quickfoot end/speed in to gain the run speed cap

I prefer to use the stealth IO in SS so I can maintain a higher level of stealth while I run. Murcielago is a vampire so part of his concept is invisibility.

I don't have a Super Speeder to easily test it, but I'd assume you could Sprint and Super Speed at the same time to get invisibility while freeing up a slot. I'd probably put a Winter's Gift in Super Speed, but same idea. Simpler to just toggle on one power, of course, and simplicity is a virtue.

This is what I have done so far I decided I just did not want hasten I need to purple out my siphon life and I can get another 5% recharge I have one build and I use it for everything from sidekicking down to soloing an av which I could do pre incarnates and pre accolades so my single target dps is good enough but I am not trying to beat the top pylon test or I would be focusing more into recharge

Can we revive this thread? I'm looking for a new build that has the updates changes to touch of fear! There are so many good options to toy with in here it's a little overwhelming 😮

I haven't updated or played in a while but I'll take a crack at it. I got promoted so I've been working a lot now 😞

This is something I was messing around on my incarnate build. It adds in more debuff to the build to help with harder targets. I haven't finished it yet but thought I'd toss the idea out there.

I always run in between builds since I tank sometimes with a group as a scrapper so I build extra survival ability into my builds here is what i am running a little different than Murcielago.  I included my incarnate paths I have or moving towards as the final.

Edit for curiosity: dark/dark brute or DM/SD scrapper, who does more dmg between these 2?

All things being equal a scrapper does far more damage than a brute.

 

All things aren't equal in that example: shield does far more damage than dark armor

 

So you have two ways in which the scrapper is doing much more damage:

* It's a scrapper

* It has shield armor

 

In the old days (before the over buffing of tankers, and the slight nerfing of brutes), brutes were utterly uber. they did far more damage than tanks and were tough enough. When IOed out then can be tougher than a scrapper because of the higher maximum resists (resist cap is 75 for a scrapper and 90 for a brute). Nowadays as far as I can see in general tankers do more aoe damage than brutes and are enormously tougher.

 

Shield is far better (if you want damage) on a scrapper than a brute because the shield gives x% damage bonus. Brute base damage is very low, so x% of not very much isn't nrealy as much damage as a scrapper.

 

Summary:

* actually both are good.

  * I have a dark melee, dark armour brute and tank. Nowadays I play the tank, but before the tanker uber buffing I really enjoyed leveling the brute, and it would still be just as much fun (but you get far far more at the top end if you were a tank DA/DM I think). The synergy of touch of fear with cloak of fear is a blast. I once had nosferatu afraid of me, and I loved the RP of that

  * Dark melee shield is one of the absolute top best builds on COH.
