So... I have Gnarly's Speed On Demand bind maker as a zip file, if anybody remembers it and wants it. My problem is that the keystroke to initialize the binds is CTRL+M and every time I hit that it just toggles the map. Any takers or ideas? It was a great program. It is a 1.23M file, so I can't attach it here, but if there is interest I can host or email the .zip for somebody to troubleshoot.

It was an excellent bind generator that turned on/off sprint, ..hover/fly... superspeed when you moved and when you stopped.Worked for Teleport and super jump as well. It is too big for me to post, but I can post the documentation to tell you more. My problem is that the MODE key... that activates the binds right now only toggles the map on and off for me. I was hoping somebody might give it a look.

You can just go into your keybind options and remap the map key to something else, and not have the problem, surely?  Or even just unmap it entirely and use the mouse to open and close the map.

Personally I tend to unmap all of the window binds because they get in the way at random times when sausage finger syndrome strikes...

I have not tried that yet..

Hope it works!  The program generates over a hundred text files. I was hoping I would not have to change them all.

When you start a new profile for a character, create a folder for that character in the profile folder.(I keep the folder name short) and then point the path to that folder. It usually defaults to C:\coh\profile. Cick the speed on demand button to set your keybinds and make sure you click the box to activate it. Save you profile in the character folder you created. Then generate the bind files and copy the path it gives you and paste it in chat while logged into that character.

Thanks for the detailed instructions, I will try again. I never made separate profiles for each character, but did generate binds that went into a /profiles directory. I hope to figure it out. Thank you for your help!

I used your download link, and installed the file into a \profile directory... BUT... There does not seem to be an executable file in that directory. What is the shortcut or .exe file that creates the binds and runs the program? For instance... there is no Speed on demand button like you describe. What am I missing?

Thanks for and help in advance

Little bit of a Necro but I wanted to say thank you to Robotech_Master for getting me that link for SOD. I used this so much on my Blaster. I think it also changes teleport to the shift command. Excellent!

Yup!
I realized I still had the hard drive I installed COH on in 2005 in my attic. I ended up copying over the /COH folder, let it update and all my old binds were there!

Heh. I still have the exe for this as well 😄

my time with this game over the years owes so much to Wasabi Joe, Gnarly, and all the others that helped with those back in the day.
