Attache Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) Hey! I don't know if I am the only person that finds this stuff useful but I was reminded today of this website that gives the RBG percentages on a jillion colors, enabling easy adjustment of UI and speech bubbles. Of course, you can always just play around with it and find what you like but I like this as a starting point. Plus, you can screenshot your character and sample the color scheme in something like photoshop and get the hexadecimal color code, which you can put right into the search bar and get those RBG percentages without having to eyeball it. I have found these values doing web searches too but this makes it pretty one stop, generally. I hope someone else finds it useful. https://encycolorpedia.com/ Edited April 1 by Attache 1 Actioneer || Aerobat || Agent Archer || Agent Dare || Amazona || Arbiter Doom || Astrowoman || Atheos || Attache || Aurgelmir || Back Talk || Big League || Blue Weasel || Bomber Girl || Cavalcader || Centenarian || Change Agent || Charade || Chimpanzer || Chorus Girl || Chrono King || Circlet || Cockatrice || Cogsman || Coin-Operative || Cold Spell || Countess Cataclysm || Crackdown || Death Adder || Deathwatch || Devana || Didgeridoo || Dirigible || Doctor Arioch || Doctor Asmodeus || Doctor Epoch || Doctor Typhoon || Doctor Utopia || Doldrums || Downer || Duke Dreadsome || Ectomorph || Executress || Eye || French Roast || Ghost Gal || Green Mist || Goldsmith || Hellstone || Herculon || Ifrit || Illuminoid || Iron Agent || Jen-X || Joe Dynamo || Junkman || Liberta || Lord of Winter || Maera || Mime || Monument || Namtaru || Newsreel || Nightbreed || Officer Singh ||Overman || Pakhet || Queen Cheetah || Queen Sting || Steve Saturn || Tarnation || Technoid || Teen Thunderbolt || Torch Titan || Xerelerex || Zodiax
RikOz Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I took a screenshot of the color palette, and use that to sample the colors in my image editor.
Shenanigunner Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) There are many RGB and other color-mixer sites, but that one's as good as any. I've found, though, that picking a color on a wheel does not always give quite the results desired when transferred to CoX settings; I think the overall play of shading, video settings, light variation and such messes up any ideal of a particular color. It's useful to know how to implement the color options and commands, but they are a bit nonlinear. The color setting for the UI is quite straightforward — /window_color R G B T — using values of 0-255 and with T being opacity and having a value of 0=no opacity and 255=nearly invisible. The one for chat bubbles, OTOH, uses additive integer values that are almost too complicated to bother with — use the sliders instead. But crazy-making, you can use RGB values in the inline code. (And there, the SCALE factor doesn't work any more, although DURATION does.) AboveTheChemist Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) For those trying to match and/or coordinate colors with costume scheme, a while back I created a costume color scheme page on the HC Wiki at this link that has the hex and RGB representations of all the colors available in the costume editor. It's in the collapsed table under the heading Available Colors, and you can reveal the hex/RGB codes by clicking and dragging over each cell to highlight the 'hidden' text. I got the hex RGB codes directly from costume save files so they should be accurate. Edited April 2 by AboveTheChemist The costume files had RGB codes, not hex codes as I erroneously recalled 2 Popmenus > Badge List | Optimal Paths | Conversion Possibilities | Emotes Wiki Pages > Costume Color Schemes | Set Bonus Comparison Tables Maps > Vidiotmaps | Optimal Paths | Halloween GM Maps | Winter Gift Maps | Offline Map Viewer Sounds > Banshee Sonic Attack Datasets > Recipe Salvage Components | Badge Name & Settitle ID | Exploration Badge & History Plaque Coordinates
