Did something change the graphics?

I am seeing lots of little rectangles where they were not present previously.

 

 

 

Could be limited to specific costume selections? Not present below.

Does seem to effect some shiny selections but not others.

 

Metallic not effected

 

..but Metallic 2 and Metallic 3 seem to be. (Metallic 2 shown below)

It's from the file compression, you see it a lot with .JPG images and sometimes when watching compressed videos.

 

From experience of messing with costume files I'd say whoever created the metallic textures didn't have the file compression set up quite right.

 

Honestly the devs should have changed the hex in UIguy (the model in the sliders screen in the costume creator) to get one of the two added metallic textures instead of someone editing the texture file, cause even the best compression will have just a bit of distortion like that.

The distortion in the dividing line on the OG Metallic have been there since Live but its more to the fact that's an older piece, on Met2 I think its more of an accidental feature.

 

I don't think I've ever noticed that in Muscle Gloss though honestly but it's more apparent in the Huge body type than the Male. That makes sense due to the fact I don't have any alts using the hughe body type.

Going back onto Titan Icon, which is retail costumes only made by retail devs, Muscle Gloss in Male and Huge have that distortion you pictured... and now that you mentioned it and I'm looking I see it in Bodysuit Leather, Muscle Matte (harder to see cause its not shiney), and Body Suit Padded. Leather and Padded you really notice it from the back in the shoulders.

 

Damn it Troo, now i wont ever be able to unsee this LOL
