Humtake Posted July 29 Posted July 29 When I started fire farming to get inf, I couldn't find any baseline information to match up my runs so figured I'd do my own to help future farmers. Disclaimer: I am a casual player who doesn't get deep into details. These run numbers may be incredibly slow. I don't know, like I said I don't have anything to match it to. Feel free to mock me, laugh at me, etc. But also please add in thoughts on if these numbers are very slow so I can work on getting better. The map used for all of these runs was 45712 (carnie with big mobs). Each color section signifies difficulty level (-1, 0, +1, etc.) All were done at +8 size. You can see the details at the top of what I vendor'd and what I sold on the AH. I was going for speed only, meaning I sold all yellow recipes even though I know I could make more if I were to craft. But the idea here was to not craft and see how much fire farming compares to my crafting numbers (final result: crafting can get you a lot more in a lot less time but it is booooooooring). Some notes: 1. The easiest and hardest difficulties tied for least amount of recipe drops (orange and purple). 2. Sometimes, a recipe wouldn't sell. The one that has 9m next to it means I got a purple but it wouldn't sell in any good amount of time. 3. The builds are all pretty close to being done (all incarnates). For new farmers, you can use these numbers to know how much you would get in the map so you can plan out what to do when you are starting and can't get to more than +1. 4. I did them like this (1 run, 2 runs back-to-back, and 3 runs back-to-back just to split it up in some way). I'm going to measure more of the highest difficulty to see how recipe drops work as I thought I'd get at least more on average as I went up in difficulty level...maybe not many more but at least more than I did at the lowest difficulty). Maybe on a long enough time line it will work out that way. But my numbers went way up in the middle and then recipes went way down towards the higher difficulties. Again, no conclusions can be made until I do more. I'd love someone to do something like this for crafting but I just can't do it long without moving on to something else. 1
AboveTheChemist Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I'll let you decide if there is any useful comparison between your numbers and mine, but I posted a decent amount of farming drop/inf data in the thread at this link. Methodology and other info are available at that link as well. This data is going on 4 years old now, and some things have changed since then, but I compared these numbers to more recent data and the overall results were quite similar. 1 Popmenus > Badge List | Optimal Paths | Conversion Possibilities | Emotes Wiki Pages > Costume Color Schemes | Set Bonus Comparison Tables Maps > Vidiotmaps | Optimal Paths | Halloween GM Maps | Winter Gift Maps | Offline Map Viewer Sounds > Banshee Sonic Attack Datasets > Recipe Salvage Components | Badge Name & Settitle ID | Exploration Badge & History Plaque Coordinates
Humtake Posted July 29 Author Posted July 29 Nice, thank you for posting that! Seeing more numbers helps me know where I'm at. 1
