Land Daddy Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I'm looking to slot knockdown in my whirling mace ability (War Mace) to make it feel a bit beefier. I was wondering how to choose between Overwhelming Force and Superior Avalanche. One says 3.5 procs per minute (I think) and the other is a flat 20%, which would have a higher chance overall?
Yomo Kimyata Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Why not both? (Actually don't put them both in the same power...) Avalanche provides both recharge and knockdown (regular is 2.5ppm, superior is 3.5PPM). Overwhelming Force provides damage, knockdown at 2.5PPM (NOT 20% chance), and converts knockback to knockdown. Generally, I like to fit both into a given build, but to each their own. For me, I tend to do something like 5-shot Avalanche in Whirling Mace (first 4 and the proc) and use a 6th slot for a Forcefeedback proc Who run Bartertown?
Snarky Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) most folks avoid knockback. once in a while someone embraces a different path Edited August 4 by Snarky
Uun Posted August 5 Posted August 5 War Mace has 3 powers with guaranteed knockdown/knockup: Jawbreaker, Shatter and Crowd Control (ignore that the power description says knockback). Of the remaining powers, the only one that can take Superior Avalanche is Whirling Mace. Assuming you skip Bash, you're left with Pulverize or Clobber to slot Overwhelming Force. Since Clobber has a guaranteed mag 3 stun, I'd slot it in Pulverize. Uuniverse
