DrRocket Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Only a suggestion Lately, perhaps of the hours I get to play, forming teams has become very very difficult and to an extent very frustrating, specially for red side SFs. At least that is my current experience with everlasting. So I was hoping that I could solo a TF/SF and at the end be faced with an EB, which would make it possible with any class and respectable build or possibly invite folks to help me with Supervillain or Hero so I can complete the TF/SF while the helpers get no completion badge. I know, some of you are going to say that you routinely solo this stuff and beat the Hero or Supervillain while eating a sandwhich... While I am leaning to believe that a few extraordinary players are capable of this feats, that is hardly true for the vast majority of the casual players. In essence apply the mission rules for mob complexity based on team size as its done for normal mission threads. Please allow this to be a learning opportunity for me, so do not just give me a thumbs up or down, or just say "no"; please give me a logical reason why this suggestion is not quite right, perhaps it should had been stated differently, or what not, or an alternate way to solve the problem of not being able to form a team at a given time. Regards 1 1 1
Rudra Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Task Forces and Strike Forces are meant to be group play activities. Because some players were capable of soloing them, they were made available to solo players that want to tackle them. If you need a team to clear a TF or SF, then form a team. If a team isn't available, do something else until you can get a team for it. TFs and SFs are not meant to be soloed, but they are permitted to be for those players that can do so. 1 1

Regards If a player is set on running group content solo, they can avail themselves of the bountiful options and temporary powers which make such endeavors child's play. Lower the difficulty, use different tactics like hit and run attacks, wait until the player is high enough level then exemplar down with better powers and boosts, use Base temporary powers, S.T.A.R.T temporary powers, holiday temporary powers, high tier inspirations, Warburg rockets, temporary pet summons like Shivans, Signature Summons, and Back Up Radio pets. 1 I lead weekly Indom Badge Runs / A newer giant monster guide by Glacier Peak / A tour of Pocket D easter eggs! / Arena All-Star Accolade Guide! tidge Posted August 13 Posted August 13 At-level (that is, characters not at 'full kit' and exemplaring down) SF/TF was designed as a solo activity, as mentioned by @Rudra... and even then, there are some low-level TF/SF that can be soloed, by using temporary powers (particularly 'summons') as suggested by @Glacier Peak. I'll also add this: if two players have well-complimented characters... chances are very good that with experience those two players can complete most SF/TFs. I mention this only because it is rarely necessary to have teams of eight for sub-50 content. Would I advocate for the OP change... probably not, but mostly because the (merit) rewards for TF/SF are essentially mapped to the time investment, whereas the non-merit rewards are "flat" (setting aside consideration of hard mode).. I grok that this was not the intent of the OP, but making the SF/TF more easily soloable for everyone means that the bar for effort is even lower for people who can already solo it. 1 1
