Salt Lord Dude Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Game freezes up and stops responding when I take a slight afk for like 2 minutes. I've verified files and reinstalled the game 3 times. Does anyone have an answer for this?
Glacier Peak Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Is your system overheating and forcing programs to close? The in game AFK timer doesn't kick in until 5 minutes and it won't auto log a player until 20 minutes has elapsed. Game Master GM_GooglyMoogly Posted August 25 Game Master Posted August 25 What installer are you using? Tequila, HC, or other?
Game Master GM_GooglyMoogly Posted August 25 Game Master Posted August 25 If you have HC Launcher, you can click the triple dots on the bottom far right under Ready. Then click on Settings to get a pop up UI and check the "Show debug console" Next time you start your game, you will get a separate window open up showing start up information that might lead to the problem. (Remember to uncheck it if you don't want that extra window forever more) 2

Marine X Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Are you using Multiple Displays? Seem to recall that COH needs to be running on Display 1 or it will time out due to inactivity after a short bit on some setups. Just a thought since it had not been mentioned 1 " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." Marine X Posted September 1 Posted September 1 What was it ? Just in case someone else has the same issue. " When it's too tough for everyone else, it's just right for me..." ( Unless it's Raining, or Cold, or Really Dirty or there are Sappers, Man I hate those Guys...) Marine X

If I remember correctly it was some warning with ssao (screen space ambient occlusion) So I went through each setting I had in graphics and disabled it until I found what was giving me this warning. I am so sorry, I was meaning to post an update sooner on what I did to solve my issue sooner so the details were fresher in my memory but I didn't. But enabling show debug console was what helped me figure out what was causing my game to randomly freeze when going afk. I hope this helps any future readers here! 2 1
