Snarky Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I do not have a lot of gaming time these days. 50 hour weeks at a (forgive the pun) draining job. Most of my CoH is with Justice Super Teamers. A great crew on Excelsior running Fri and Sun evenings with themed teams. I do miss the madcap leveling runs I used to do. I recently made a Psi/Mental Blaster and decided to take him up to 50 my old way. Every TF/SF trial in level order. (With odd ones like Cavern Hollows usually missed). After doing DFBs until 15 I recruited for a Posi 1. I am sorry to report there was zero madness. No drama. We had no tank but we just massacred everything. At City Hall we burned from Atlas statue up the steps, into the bldg and to the Simulcrum fight. Here I thought, we will be stung. I had one med purple and 4 med reds. I chomped them and led with 3 AoEs. And…. We massacred them. Posi 2 was even smoother. Sorry folks. I feel that I have let everyone down. Which makes me feel better, but still… 1 2 10 1 2 2

ZemX Posted September 5 Posted September 5 That Simulacrum fight has to be the most variable thing in the whole game. Just based on who is on the team it can be anything from a light breeze to a total nightmare multiple-team-wipe-fest. Especially when the game gets "creative" with the clones when it can't deal with non-original powersets. I bring a Rad Armor tanker and it pits me against a clone that has Radiation Emission powers like Enervating Field... but is also a tank. Recently ran a +2 posi with that tanker and there were a couple marine affinity folks on the team as well. The debuffs were absolutely crippling. We wiped maybe four or five times and had to resort to single-pulling like straight out of old school Everquest or something, just to get by... ourselves. 4

It sounds much more difficult with a team. 2 1

Psyonico Posted September 5 Posted September 5 The worst posi 1 I ever did had 3 TAs on the team, we almost couldn't get past the simulcroms because of stacked Flash Arrows. We had to fill out trays with yellows to even stand a chance against them. 2 What this team needs is more Defenders

Now we have to wait until you have free time AND get sucky team experiences and the inclination to write about them. 1
